Job Title:  HGV Class 1 Backshift Driver/Loader

Location:  Cupar, Fife, Scotland 

Contract and Shift details:  Permanent – Monday – Friday, Average 48 hours per week.

As a Driver for ABN, you’ll be the face of our business, effectively and safely delivering animal feed to our customers. Our transport team consists of over 240 drivers on the road every day, delivering to farmers up and down the country. Using the latest driver technology and state of the art vehicles we deliver two million tonnes of animal feed every year.

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced Class 1 Driver CPC
  • Knowledge of EU Drivers hours and WTD regulation
  • Experience of blowing would be desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding that we are working in the agricultural environment which means on Farms in all seasons – you may be standing outside the cab for extended periods of time during loading and unloading rain or shine and will be delivering to working farms.
  • Self-motivated with great customer service skills – you will be interacting with our customers daily, so relationship building is key.

Job Title: Mill Operative 

Location: Cupar, Fife, Scotland 

Contract and Shift details:  Permanent 3 week rotating over a 7-day 24hr shift pattern Week 1 – Monday – Thursday Days 6am-6pm days Week 2 – Tuesday PM – Sat AM 6pm – 6am nights Week 3 – Sunday/Monday 6pm-6am nights and Friday/Saturday 6am-6pm days split shift.

Have you got experience of working in a production, feed mill or agricultural/farming environment and looking for an opportunity to join a small team as part of a bigger well-established business?

As a Mill Operative you will be part of a shift working across our control room and two press production lines making high quality animal feed. You will be in the Mill at your designated area and will have overall responsibility for the running of the press lines as well as cleaning of the station.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring quality and feed safety is a priority during production.
  • Completion of daily production plan following KPI’s/targets
  • General Mill cleaning – hovering, mopping and general hygiene.
  • Providing accurate information to wider teams on raw material and stock to ensure deliveries and ordering are planned effectively including supporting with stock takes.
  • Support maintenance teams to communicate any issues and basic maintenance duties.
  • Wider support for overall mill success supporting with projects or ad hoc work as part of the wider Mill team.

This is a terrific opportunity for someone who likes a varied role where you can get your hands dirty and be part of a small friendly team where everyone can get stuck in to get the job done. You will contribute to the success of the business by ensuring that the mill performs at its best allowing production targets to be met.

To be successful we are looking for some of the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Previous experience in production environment ideally food or agriculture
  • Previous experience of working with automated plant machinery
  • Ability to be multi-skilled and flexible to support the needs of the Mill.
  • Computer literate with ability to learn new systems with experience of MS Office such as teams and excel.
  • Happy to work in a noisy, dusty, and warm environment.
