The Vice President – QA Trade Surveillance has key responsibility in helping the firm manage its regulatory risk through quality assurance of trade surveillance across the various businesses and countries in which BNY conducts business. the right candidate will have familiarity with trade surveillance requirements as outlined by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, the Financial Conduct Authority and APAC regulators. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Improve the firms approach to Trade Surveillance by challenging alert mitigation.
- Review mitigated transaction alerts across a range of financial asset classes including FX, FI, Securities Lending & Repo, Equities and associated derivatives.
- Challenge alert mitigation where the standard of closure is not sufficient.
- Escalate findings in a controlled and organised fashion
- Ensure that the standard of trade surveillance alert mitigation is robust and consistent across the BNY enterprise.
- Prepare Management Information for the QA function to clearly identify inconsistencies in quality of alert mitigation.

Role Overview
We are seeking a future team member for the role of (Vice President) to join our EMEA Financial Crime Compliance Testing Team within 2LOD Risk and Compliance – Independent Review and Assurance Group. This role is in Manchester, UK
The Vice President will lead and perform testing reviews related to BNYs businesses and operational processes. This role ensures adherence to applicable laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies in accordance with the Global Methodology Standard and the Annual Testing Plan for the assigned region or business unit. The incumbent will work with minimal guidance, managing all phases of testing reviews, communicating findings, and facilitating corrective actions to maintain regulatory and corporate compliance.
Variables (Key Responsibilities)
This role is dedicated to the tester specializing in ‘Financial Crime covering Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Anti-Tax Evasion’ who will thoroughly research and interpret relevant laws and regulations, applying a solution-focused approach to the challenges. The tester will leverage BNY’s proprietary AI tool to enhance assurance and testing reviews, accuracy and efficiency while demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills. The tester will promptly escalate significant business risks, internal control issues, or material regulatory breaches to relevant jurisdiction Anti-Money Laundering Officers/Money Laundering Reporting Officers and / or Financial Crime Compliance Officer. They will assist in the development and execution of the testing plan for assigned assessable units or themes. They will ensure timely, high-quality reviews aligned with Global Methodology Standard. This role requires strong collaboration with business units, senior management, and associated stakeholders to support compliance adherence and address findings effectively.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Assist in planning and executing the Annual Testing Program, acting as delegate for the Testing Manager/Team Leader on ad-hoc assignments as needed.
- Lead and conduct reviews efficiently within established timelines, following the Global Methodology Standard and Annual Testing Plan.
- Build and develop expertise in relevant business processes, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to assigned compliance reviews.
- Design and perform tests to assess compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, verifying control processes align with requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in all review phases—planning, fieldwork, walkthroughs, testing—while maintaining clear and thorough documentation.

Expectations:
To be successful in this role, we are seeking the following:
- Education: Preferred secondary/university graduate degree in Business, Compliance, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CISI, IMC, CFA, IAPP certifications) are advantageous.
- Experience: Financial industry experience, Compliance & Risk experience, compliance testing, control testing, and/or internal audit, ideally gained at a large bank, financial institution, public accounting firm, or regulatory body.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Senior User Experience Designer to join our Studio Design, Loans Enablement platform team. This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Plan, map out user flows and journeys, and identify research opportunities.
- Collaborate within design systems and component libraries to master and advance your craft.
- Manage a range of project sizes, balancing time effectively and generating multiple solutions to problems.
- Take initiative to drive work forward, maintain open communication, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions.
- Communicate effectively and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Think strategically across problem sets and apply appropriate solutions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision on routine tasks and general guidance on new projects.
- Deliver polished work with great attention to detail that addresses user and business needs. Identify inconsistencies in user journeys and promote best practices, design system guidance, and high-quality deliverables.
- Advocate across functions to drive accountability, realign priorities when needed, and proactively contribute new solutions.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Degree or equivalent experience in user experience, design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline.
- Experience and passion for design systems and component libraries, including creation, maintenance, and governance.
- Enthusiasm for increasing efficiency and collaboration through design systems.
- Experience in service design, particularly creating internal tools for established users.
- Advanced Figma skills, including component creation, prototyping, and auto layout.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with both technical and non-technical individuals, with the ability to convey ideas professionally.
- Experience working in international companies is preferred.
- DeFi experience a plus.

- These young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools and will require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey
- If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
- Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
- Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
- Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person's progress
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
- Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
- Two professional references
- You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments

As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the resources associated with delivering a wide range of Infrastructure Projects and Capital Works, on the existing waste water network across with North West, for our client United Utilities.
You will plan, manage and supervise operational teams and supply chain partners, as they carry out schemes and provide operational leadership – ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to our client’s expectations. In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to the client.
Satisfaction of customers is measured through a new regulatory measure called C-MeX. You will work closely with the client to influence the C-MeX measure and show leadership skills to genuinely care about the ratings customers give of Network Plus’s Non-Core services. You will be expected to communicate with customers who are impacted by our work, as and when required.
You will work with the design, delivery and commercial teams, to ensure our Non-Core programme of work is delivered safely, to the right quality, on programme and to the clients budget.
Key Responsibilities
- We are looking for someone to have operational supervisory responsibility for waste water projects on the Non-Core Programme and the daily activities that take place on site.
- We are looking for someone to be site based and regularly visit teams at local site level – reviewing progress and performance and ensuring all standards are adhered to at all times.
- We are looking for someone to organise all resources for our schemes, including plant, labour, materials and sub-contractors, in the most cost-effective way.
- We are looking for someone to manage compliance to our Health and Safety procedures on site e.g. weekly checks, inspections, team briefings, audits and work with the teams as required to develop them and support them in reaching their full potential.
- We are looking for someone to do weekly reporting of the sites to our management team and the client on weekly meetings and calls to update the team on progress, planning and issues.
- We are looking for someone to be a Health & Safety Representative; undertaking health & safety inspections in and around the workplace, raising health and safety related matters with management and investigating reportable accidents or incidents if and when they occur
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of working in the Utilities sector and ideally on waste water and Capital works
- Competence, knowledge and experience in deep excavations, civils, drainage, structures and waste water based schemes.
- Competence, knowledge and experience in Street Works and Confined Spaces
- Health & Safety qualification an advantage

- Full UK Driving Licence
