A well-established engineering firm in the Portadown area is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Officer to oversee workplace safety and coordinate maintenance activities across its operations. Your new role
As the Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. You will also play a key role in coordinating maintenance activities to support operational efficiency. Your duties will include developing and implementing H&S policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and safety audits, investigating incidents and recommending corrective actions, delivering H&S training and toolbox talks and ensuring compliance with ISO and HSE standards. Yo will be liaising with external bodies (e.g. HSE, insurers) as required, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance schedules, managing contractor activities and maintenance records, supporting engineering teams with equipment inspections and upkeep.
Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm and Fri until 2pm

To thrive in this role, you should have:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent H&S qualification
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong understanding of machinery safety and maintenance coordination
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture
IT proficiency for reporting and documentation

About your new role as Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Prepare valuations
- Complete CVRs on a monthly basis
- Negotiate subcontracts, costs and packages

- Assist with procurement
- Monitor and review project cash flow
What you'll need to be successful
- 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering Construction or a related field

- A broad scope of project experience, including groundworks and structural packages
- Experience with NEC and JCT contracts
- Full driving licence

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will support the technical team by conducting routine inspections, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Key responsibilitiesAs a Quality Control Specialist, you will:
