The role:    

We are looking for a Lead Clinician, this could be a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Practitioner Psychologist or Psychotherapist, ideally experienced in working with children and young people with types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Robins Way School based in Wiltshire. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Working collaboratively with the team, the postholder will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.  Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus in this role, target led, via the OFG ‘all’, ‘group’ and ‘individual’ clinical ways of working, embedded into our clinical practice. They will also be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team and leading on the service development of the clinical school-based service, alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.   

Once established our Clinical Team maintain a nurturing environment where our learners can flourish, always putting them at the forefront of everything they do. All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and our students are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible. Essential Criteria:   

• Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
• Valid and up to date professional Registration & membership of professional body e.g. BPS
• Experience within the specialist client group; working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
• Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
• Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work dynamically and within a growing and developing clinical service
• Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty preferred
• Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle

If you have a previous lifeguard qualification that's brilliant, but we will also put you through your NPLQ course, giving you all the training you need to start your career in lifeguarding. This permanent role covers a variety of shifts between 8.30am - 9pm with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays as essential with more hours available in the school holidays. Our business is open 7 days a week and therefore flexibility, reliability and punctuality are all essential, as you will form an important part of a team.

We may consider both part time and full time applications.

Live in accommodation may be available for those aged over 18 and relocating to the area.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a natural ability to engage and relate with a wide range of people.

Job Description

New Hall Hospital - 37.5 hours per week

The role

At Ramsay Health Care UK, we know our people are our most important asset. Join our Theatre department as an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse and support on our journey of ‘people caring for people’. You’ll have the best facilities – many of our theatres have laminar airflow systems and state of the art integrated theatre technology.

You’ll also have access to the Ramsay Academy, with potential to gain your SFA, and the chance to develop your career across our 30+ network of independent hospitals across the UK. Like us, you have a can do attitude, and you’re committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. 

What you’ll bring with you

• NMC/HCPC registration

• Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics including but not limited to hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligaments

• Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) would be desirable, but not essential

• Spinal scrub experience would be desirable

• Anaesthetic experience would be desirable but not essential

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently

• Flexible and positive attitude

• A warm, considerate and empathetic character
