The Quantity Surveyor role
Ideally, you'll;
- be a recognised Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial awareness with a focus on profit and cash
- Working together to input into Work Scope Documents/ Procurement of Enabling Work Packages with the Client Procurement Team.
- have prior experience with CM projects
- have experience managing a range of commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and management of subcontract works packages through to final account.
- be keen to minimise risk, cost and maximise value by cost checking and analysis of labour, plant and materials.
- Broad construction industry experience covering many and various sectors and markets in commercial positions with industry main contracting organisations
Your profile
- Large scale major project experience / Construction Management experience
- Strategy – Can disseminate a breadth of internal and external data and apply sound judgement regarding the strategic direction of the business
- You will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or a related subject

The Project Controls Lead Role
Reporting to the Project Commercial Lead, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust project controls across cost, schedule, risk, change management and reporting functions. This role ensures that project performance is accurately tracked, analyzed, and communicated, enabling informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor expenditure, and forecast costs. Ensure alignment with baseline budgets and manage change control processes.
- Oversee the development and integration of project schedules ( e.g. P6, MS Project), ensuring alignment across all workstreams and stakeholders.
- Identify , assess, and manage project risks and opportunities. Implement change control procedures and maintain risk registers.
- Create and maintain dashboards ( e.g. Power BI), generate progress reports, and provide insights to senior leadership and enabling services.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, planners, and clients to ensure consistent application of controls and transparent communication.
Your profile
- Proven experience proactively leading project controls within construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectors on a major project .
- Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, risk management, and reporting methodologies.
- Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Power BI.
- Ability to vet contractor schedules and integrate them into master programmes .
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and large-scale project environments is advantageous .

The Package Manager role - Facade and roofing
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be a responsible for the management of trade-contractor packages within the infrastructure and substructure team, leading a team of engineers and subcontractors to deliver the project to the highest possible standard of safety and performance.
We are looking for someone who;
- Takes ownership of their package and ensures all works are planned, safe, and the site within their package area is clean and organised.
- A ‘boots on the ground' mentality to promote a culture of safety leadership and ensure all works are being carried out as planned and safely.
- Plans and oversees all logistical requirements within their package, liaising the Works Manager and Logistics Contractor.
- Produces short-term programmes and phase plans to accelerator works or mitigate issues to ensure on-time delivery in line with the accepted programme.
- Progress monitoring and performance, planned vs. actual, metrics, and understanding trends arising, and reporting programme implications to the Project Manager and package planner.
- Collaborates with other members of the infrastructure team and thinks of the ‘big picture'.
- Responsible for the technical aspects and compliance of the package with the contract documents and construction issue, specifications and drawings.
- Reviews and approves Inspection and Test Plans.
- Conducts and records quality inspections using FieldView.
- Manages technical submittals and requests for information within their package scope.
- Ensures the package meets their requirements with respect to scope of works and sub-contract requirements and understands SRMs obligations.
- Records key events and activities.
- Promotes and encourages the SRM Build Sure culture.
Your profile
- Strong Leadership skills
- Experience delivering multi-million-pound building projects.
- Managed structural steelwork and façade packages for multiple high-profile projects, ensuring that work was completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Managed subcontractors for steel fabrication and façade installation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contract terms.
- Led weekly progress meetings, providing detailed reports on the status of packages, identifying delays, and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversaw the procurement of materials, negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining high quality.
- Worked closely with the design and engineering teams to resolve any technical challenges during the construction phase.
- Managed site activities and coordinated with the safety manager to ensure all structural steelwork and façade installation activities were carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Experience with NEC contracts and the management of Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
- Good knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Familiarity with construction software package – FieldView, 4P, Dalux, and Asta are desirable.

The Onboarding Manager role
A member of the project team reporting to the Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will be responsible for the organisation, coordination and delivery of all site inductions for subcontractors, staff and visitors. An important aspect of the inductions will be to evidence compliance with SRMs health & safety regulations and company procedures. Your role will involve, but not be limited to effective communication on the following:
- Comprehensive and interactive site inductions.
- Compliance with statutory and company procedures, including health & safety and environmental standards.
- Engagement with all members of the project team to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Managing and directing the induction process, including planning and scheduling inductions.
- Understanding the status of the Project and ensuring the delivery of the induction represents is up to date.
Your profile:
- Experience in managing site inductions and ensuring compliance is of benefit, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
