We have a 12 month opportunity to join the Dorset team as a Carpenter Multi Trade.  If you are an experienced carpenter, with extra skills such as plastering, painting and decorating, bricklaying/rendering, why not considering joining the team.   

What you’ll be doing

You’ve probably guessed, and you’re right, you’ll be completing carpentry repair works in our customers homes in the Dorset region. We’ll also call on your previous Wet Trade knowledge and experience to support the team. Internally, you’ll be known as a Carpenter level 2.

You’ll be working in our customer’s homes, so you’ll have a customer service focus wanting to do a great job every time. 

No two days are the same. You’ll carry out a number of jobs in a day with your work shared with you via your handheld device, your PDA. Primarily you’ll work alone but you’ll be part of the wider team so there’s always someone at the end of the phone to support you.

About you

You’ll have a carpentry qualification, NVQ or equivalent. You’ll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify carpentry issues. You will also have additional Wet Trade skills such as plastering and bricklaying/rendering.

You’ll need to be a confident user of IT, your work is shared via an iPad and you’ll need to control & manage your van stock electronically.

You’ll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so you’ll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers. As you’ll be in customers homes daily, you’ll understand the importance of delivering a great customer service and will endeavour to first fix at every opportunity.

We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so you’ll need a full, UK manual driving licence. You’ll work in the Dorset area but may be required on occasion to support our other regional teams.

You’ll have a flexible approach to work and will be willing & able to take part in our out of hours rota. You’ll also be willing and able to comply with facefit regulations.

Are you an experienced carpenter, with extra skills such as plastering, painting and decorating, bricklaying/rendering?  Our Dorset team is looking for the right person to join them. 

What you’ll be doing

You’ve probably guessed, and you’re right, you’ll be completing carpentry repair works in our customers homes in the Dorset region. We’ll also call on your previous Wet Trade knowledge and experience to support the team. Internally, you’ll be known as a Carpenter level 2.

You’ll be working in our customer’s homes, so you’ll have a customer service focus wanting to do a great job every time. 

No two days are the same. You’ll carry out a number of jobs in a day with your work shared with you via your handheld device, your PDA. Primarily you’ll work alone but you’ll be part of the wider team so there’s always someone at the end of the phone to support you.

About you

You’ll have a carpentry qualification, NVQ or equivalent. You’ll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify carpentry issues. You will also have additional Wet Trade skills such as plastering and bricklaying/rendering.

You’ll need to be a confident user of IT, your work is shared via an iPad and you’ll need to control & manage your van stock electronically.

You’ll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so you’ll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers. As you’ll be in customers homes daily, you’ll understand the importance of delivering a great customer service and will endeavour to first fix at every opportunity.

We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so you’ll need a full, UK manual driving licence. You’ll work in the Dorset area but may be required on occasion to support our other regional teams.

You’ll have a flexible approach to work and will be willing & able to take part in our out of hours rota. You’ll also be willing and able to comply with facefit regulations.

At East Boro, our Domiciliary Care and Support Team works closely with adults to help them live as independently as possible in their own homes.

About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide compassionate care and practical assistance that empowers people to live life to the fullest. Your support will cover a range of daily living tasks, including:

  • Medication support

  • Shopping and healthy meal preparation

  • Cleaning and maintaining a safe home environment
