Location: Hinxton Hall Conference Centre
Salary: £15.85 per hour, 37.5 hours per week (plus paid overtime)
Contract: Full-Time, alternate shift pattern (07:00 – 15:30 & 12:30 – 23:00 approx.), 5 out of 7 days per week
As the Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and delivery of the events, conferences and functions that take place on site. You will be an ideal fit if you have experience of running large scale conferences and functions and are comfortable running the floor of the event. It is key that service standards remain high throughout, and it is the responsibility of the Hospitality Manager to ensure this.
You will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate the front of house team with your leadership ability and drive excellence in all aspects of food and service delivery. It is crucial that you have your own mode of transportation, due to the shift times and due to the location of the venue.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of the various conference, events and functions that take place on site.
- Act as a vital link between the front of house teams and senior managers on site, to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Assist with staff training and development
- Take ownership of key admin and paperwork tasks related to the event you are leading
- Step in as the main point of contact during the Manager’s absence
- Uphold and represent the Compass Group UK&I brand professionally at all times

As the Senior Chef De Partie at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, you will be working alongside the culinary team onsite to deliver a high standard of food across the conference and events operation they have on site. You will be responsible for the production of high quality food in our popular conference & event venue. You must be a strong team player and be confident working in a busy kitchen. The food that is produced in the kitchen is of a high standard and is diverse.
Due to the location, you must have your own mode of transport as there is no public transport links to the area that Hinxton Hall is located in.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present dishes to a high standard, following the guidance of the head chef, that follows all specification sheets.
- Work across various sections and support kitchen operations
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Collaborate with the team to deliver consistently outstanding service
- Maintain and ensure that food is handled and stored at the correct temperatures always and to be in accordance with food handling and hygiene regulations.
- Ensure that food wastage is recorded and correctly disposed of as well and ensuring that all work areas are kept clean and that all waste is recorded and disposed of correctly.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality-focused kitchen
- A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and beautifully crafted dishes
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards

Contract: Casual, Zero Hour Contract with Variable Weekly Hours from Monday to Sunday
As a Hospitality Assistant at Hinxton Hall, you will be the face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service for Restaurant Associates on a zero hour casual basis, with variable hours worked each week. You'll join a team that takes real pride in what they do - pride in our food, pride in our brand but most of all pride in our people. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires you to be responsible for a variety of tasks, including basic food production & preparation, customer service, and supporting the overall catering operations while ensuring compliance with all Health and Food Safety regulations. Supporting the delivery of the excellent front of house operation standards onsite is expected whereby you will be welcoming guests, serving food & drinks, operating the till system, serving coffees and cocktails and supporting with evening events are also expected.
Shifts
Shifts will vary between Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the business, successful candidates should be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends. Due to the location of Hinxton Hall, it is essential that you are able to get to and from site without relying on public transport.
