We're looking for a Support Worker to join our residential service in Seaton, Devon working 37.5 hours per week.

With the seafront just a few minutes’ walk away, we have access to lovely gardens and lots of local café’s. Here we support individuals to live the life they choose. This might include accessing the beach, strolls along the seafront and cake and coffee at a favourite café!

You will support 6 adults with Learning Disabilities here in Seaton,  supporting them with real life experiences and opportunities to live fulfilling lives and to take part in experiences that bring them joy!

Sense are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our fantastic team as a Deputy Care Manager at our Service in Seaton, Devon.

This is a Permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. As a Deputy Care Manager  you will receive £8,378 per annum

You will support 6 adults with Learning Disabilities here in Seaton,  supporting them with real life experiences and opportunities to live fulfilling lives and to take part in experiences that bring them joy! 

This is an opportunity for you to work alongside the Registered Care Manager to help run the service. As a Deputy Care Manager you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments and/or learning disabilities.  You will be a frontline supervisor, supporting the manager to effectively manage a team of staff to deliver person centred, specialist services.

• 2 years’ experience in a leadership role / Deputy Manger role within a Health & Social care setting.
• A sound knowledge of person-centred planning, planning rotas and rota management
• Experience of supervising, mentoring and leading team members
• Experience and knowledge of working to CQC guidelines.
• Be IT literate and able to able to undertake some administration duties.
• Have Substantial experience of providing support including personal care.
• A positive, a can-do attitude.
• Passion about enhancing other people’s lives.
• A Level 3 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable for this role.

• You will assist the manager in the running of the service including rota, supervising, mentoring and leading the team to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained which guarantee compliance.
• Provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
• To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.
