Job Title:  Primary Teacher - Maternity Cover

Salary:      Up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)

Hours:      40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary SEND Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join our team at Lamledge School in Shifnal.

About the Role

This is a rewarding, fixed-term opportunity to deliver a highly personalised and therapeutic curriculum to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism (ASC), and associated developmental differences.

You will take a creative and individualised approach to teaching, planning lessons tailored to each pupil’s EHCP and developmental level, with a strong focus on engagement, emotional wellbeing, and academic progress.

This role would suit a teacher who is calm, resilient, and innovative, and who is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to pupils (starting from age 7) working at EYFS through to KS2 levels
  • Plan and deliver lessons across the core curriculum, tailored to individual needs and abilities
  • Track and evidence student work and monitor individual progress
  • Provide regular, constructive marking and feedback to support pupil development
  • Take responsibility for individual student timetables, ensuring their needs are fully met
  • Draft, update, and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in collaboration with the wider team
  • Attend EHCP annual reviews and prepare detailed progress reports
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents/carers to provide a joined-up approach
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the Head of School

Who We're Looking For:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and experience teaching pupils with
  • Experience delivering teaching across EYFS - KS2 developmental levels
  • Confident in using a range of teaching strategies to engage and inspire pupils
  • Committed to promoting pupil voice, safety, and wellbeing

This role is only available to be based in our office in Telford. As such you will need to be based within a commutable distance to your chosen office where you should expect to typically be in our office 3 days a week. Your role

We are looking for tech passionate individuals to want to start their career as an apprentice in the IT industry. You will be joining large business area working for our largest UK public sector client working with inspiring experts from which you can learn from and enjoy the career opportunities this brings. You will be joining a large community of Graduates and Apprentices across the business.  
 
You’ll be part of the team that delivers and transforms our client’s existing technology services and creates brand-new services. You will want to put the client experience first. Your UX degree is relevant to your role, and you will get the chance to rotate into user experience, interaction design, and content design roles during your degree, which enables you to specialist in what interests you. This mix and the role you’ll play in delivering new solutions to our client makes this a unique and exciting opportunity, you’ll be understanding and contributing to the complexities of how our services are designed from a user-centric approach.   

•     User Researcher  – use different techniques to find out user’s needs, motivations and pain points, to use when informing designers of that service. You’ll interview users, create detailed plans, find compelling insights, understand data, facilitate workshops and present findings. Everything you do will be valued by our designers.   

•    Interaction Designers   – develop and understand what users do and perform and help design a service that allows them to do that, creating exceptional end-to-end digital journeys using the latest technology and techniques.  

•    Content Designers  – making sure the right information is on hand when users need it, understanding and exploring data to identify users’ behaviours, helping to create the best end to end experience for users.  

Your skills and experience

To be eligible, you need: 

7 GCSEs A*-C including Maths and English (4-9) or equivalent 

Plus, one of the folowing: 

• 3 A*-C at A-level across the 3 A-levels (NOTE: AS Levels are not included) 

• Completed a L3 Apprenticeship with relevant UX work experience in the industry 

• BTEC (Merit, Distinction, Distinction minimum)

Your security clearance

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:  identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. 
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
