Our Mars Petcare factory have an opportunity to join our dynamic team. Focusing on machine maintenance for specialized equipment, including flow wrapping, pick and place robotics, and secondary and tertiary packaging machinery.
Collaborate as part of a four-person team under the guidance of the Engineering Team Leader to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on our production lines, and take ownership of designated areas, driving continuous improvement (CI) through digitalised analysis at your fingertips.
What are we looking for?
- Solid foundation in engineering, built through a recognized apprenticeship.
- HNC level in an electrical engineering discipline and a sound mechanical aptitude.
- Proven working knowledge of 415v distribution, Motor control, PLC software, Process control philosophies, level 2 systems & networks. Experience of pneumatics & hydraulics would be an advantage.
- Understanding and knowledge of a broad range of Electromechanical devices.
- Reasonable working knowledge of H&S regulations.
- Computer literate and comfortable navigating internal software packages such as Atlas PM, SAP and Microsoft packages
- FMCG experience desirable
- Working knowledge in Rockwell PLC including fault finding and diagnosing desirable
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Perform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying the root cause in the repair process.
- Determine when and which technical issues are escalated to the days support organisation
- Provide technical experience/expertise/ information to assist others in resolution of equipment issues.
- Responsible for the safe and required delivery of all services into and out of the factory during shift (including steam, air, water, gas and electricity).
- Undertake planning of maintenance activities, for both self and others, to achieve smooth transition between maintenance and production availability of equipment.
- In conjunction with the area engineer, ensures that the right planned preventative maintenance is completed

About you
Although a track record in warehouse management would be desirable, people management experience gained in other sectors would be considered. You’ll ideally have:
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment, preferably from a 24/7 logistics, warehouse, FMCG or similar industry background
- Experience managing a large operation and the ability to liaise at all levels
- Outstanding communication skills and the credibility to effectively build relationships with all team members and management

At Serco, we have some exciting opportunities for Aircraft Technicians (Merlin) to join us at the Royal Navy Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose, Helston. We're proud to support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and AESES (Air Engineering and Aviation Support) at RNAS Culdrose, delivering activities ranging from the repair and maintenance of military aircraft to off-aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy's two principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.
You'll support aircraft engineering services across both the IMOS and AESAS contracts, supporting operational deliverables and interfaces in a highly regulated environment. Carrying out work as an aircraft engineering fitter, you'll complete contracted tasks ensuring customer policy and regulations are met to a high standard (including the Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) Act 1974 and Customer Policy and Regulations), while ensuring any customer complaints or quality issues and business risks are raised with team leads. You will be entrusted with completing any administration duties required for the role and be committed to attending further training courses to develop your skills and knowledge.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Minimum of 3 years working in an airworthiness environment, relevant experience for the Merlin aircraft or hands on Rotary experience
- Previous experience of working with Merlin aircraft engineering and aircraft systems/ Merlin aircraft servicing and support equipment
- An understanding of Lean Operating Procedures
- An understanding of Naval Air Publications and Compound – Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP)
- Commitment to adhering to Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices
- An understanding of engineering and asset management systems

At Serco, we have exciting opportunities for a Mechanical Supervisor (Merlin) to join us at the Royal Navy Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose, Helston.
We're proud to support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and the AESAS (Aircraft Engineering Support and Aviation Support) at RNAS Culdrose, delivering activities ranging from the repair and maintenance of military aircraft to off-aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy`s two principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.
Our Aircraft Engineers will support Aircraft Engineering services at RNAS Culdrose across both AESAS and IMOS Contracts, supporting operational deliverables and interfaces in a highly regulated environment.
What you'll need:
- Minimum of 6 years working in an airworthiness environment, relevant experience for the Merlin aircraft, with a minimum of 2 years hands on experience
- Hold/have ability to hold Certificate of Competency for Supervisory level
- Previous experience and a good working knowledge of the following:
