The role:   

We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Baston House school 

Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be given responsibility for holding a Speech and Language therapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, also contributing to staff training and consultation as required This post would suit a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual.

  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree 
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration 
  • Registered member of RCSLT 
  • At least 5 + yrs practicing experience working at the specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge and clinical understanding underpinned by theory and practical experience
  • Experienced in multi-disciplinary working across a range of settings, with some responsibility for service & team performance
  • Highly experienced in communicating with and working with families/relatives and carers
  • Highly experienced in developing training and in person presentations
  • Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
  • Highly experienced in taking part in research projects and conducting audits
  • Skills Essential Desirable Exceptional relationship building, analytical and judgmental skills.

Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working. The role: We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Baston House school Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working. We are now looking for an experienced Art Teacher to join our close knitted team at The Tower School located in Epping.

About the role

The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning in Art and will have the ability to motivate pupils and develop staff in a team which prides itself as being collaborative and supportive. You will be able to inspire effective teaching and learning within the classroom and beyond as our small school flourishes in the coming years. You will understand the importance of data as a tool to track pupil progress and will identify a wide range of evaluation strategies to lead the development in all aspects its success.

Some of the duties of the Art Teacher will involve planning, delivering and teaching individual pupils or small groups, in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework and related policies, monitor, record and report on pupil progress, work with and manage challenging behaviour, enabling pupils to develop from needing external control, to developing self control, play a full part as a member of the School’s multi-professional team, ensuring effective working relationships with colleagues.

Essential:

  • Teaching up to BTEC Level 2 certificate in Art - teaching across KS3/4/5.

Qualifications Required

  • QTS
  • Experience of working in an SEN Educational Setting
  • Passion for Art
