We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Voice Support Engineer to join our EMEA Production Service team. This role is located in Manchester .
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Manage all aspects of Voice Projects and Operations
- Support Operations and Project activities on Voice infrastructure including Nice Voice Recordings
- Test circuits and components of malfunctioning unified communications equipment to isolate sources of malfunctions, using network management systems and circuit designs
- Analyse telecommunications systems using structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot highly complex systems in a mission-critical environment, identifying root causes, action plans, and impact and resolution plans
- Monitor system performance daily and provide security measures, troubleshooting, and maintenance as needed
- Identify all aspects of communications-related vulnerabilities, increase customer awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts on mission execution capability, and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities
- Perform day-to-day activities required to manage Voice services, such as design, implementation, and management, including troubleshooting of complex VOIP issues
- Perform testing, provisioning, operations, and emergency response for ongoing VOIP network operations
- Oversee and manage the deployment of upgrades to existing voice, video, and other related systems in a multi-location environment
- Take ownership of projects and complete them on time
- Collaborate with Project Teams including Operations, contract resources, and 3rd Party Vendors
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, managing the service to support the Incident/Problem Manager, the Technology Service owner, and deliver quality operations to consumers of Voice and Video Services
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise multi-cluster design, integrating CUCM, Unity Connections, SME
- Knowledge of Cisco Video and Conferencing solutions – Telepresence, TMS, Webex
- Experience with Nice Perform or Nice Engage
- Oracle SBC design and configuration is a plus
- Experience working in Expressway Edge and CORE
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and logical reasoning skills

About the role

We've been building our in-house tech expertise year on year, as more clients turn to us for smart, value-adding tech solutions. From AI and Digital Workspace to Hybrid Infrastructure & Cyber Security, there's huge potential to grow your technical know-how and experience by helping us take our technology solutions to another level.
The departments in our Technical & Services area include Cyber Security, Asset Intelligence, Advisory, Architecture Services, Project Management, Professional Services, Governance, Resource Desk and Service Desk. Our past interns have worked in roles including Asset Intelligence Intern, IT Development Intern, IT Project Management Intern and MDL (Managed Device Lifecycle) Intern.

What you'll do:
- Technical Lead for a squad, ensuring collaborative working with Product Owners, Developers, QA’s, Architects and the wider business.
- Lead, manage and coach a team of engineers. You will lead from the front with expert hands-on software development experience and ensure high technical standards are met throughout the team.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the squad has a clear mission, understands the wider tech strategy, healthy backlog and working to Agile practices.
- Work with our Architects and Principal Engineers on new tech choices and architecture evolution.
- Always looking at ways to Improve engineering practices in the squad including code quality, testing and CI/CD.
- Be a senior part of esure’s engineering community. Strive to actively share technical expertise with the team and champion / drive tech change wider than your squad.
What we’d love you to bring:
- A deep love of technology with a customer centric approach!
- A passion for people development; You will consider yourself a people motivator who has led a software development squad in an agile environment to deliver and achieve great things.
- A Java technical expert! Our Tech Lead roles are a good blend of people management and strategy and hands on development (Spring Boot experience is key).
- Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins and Docker (ideally with Kubernetes) as well as cloud platform experience, ideally AWS.
- Experience in design and development of distributed, scalable, and highly available systems with a customer centric approach.

The Interview Process (subject to change):
- You’ll start with an introductory call with one of our Talent Partners. This is a ‘get to know you session’ and for you to explore the position in more detail.
- 1st stage: 1 hour interview with our Head of Technology
- 2nd stage: 1 hour interview with 2 of our Technical Leads. This will involve a technical task and technical interview questions.

Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for an Application Reliability and performance Engineer to join our Team.
We are seeking a high motivated individual to bring a diverse skill set and proactive mindset to help ensure the stability, efficiency, and resilience of applications across esure. Good working knowledge of Java is needed for this position.
What you’ll do:
- Support batch processing and carry out proactive analysis across squads and services.
- Review Java code and suggest improvements to enhance quality and performance.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, problems, and change requests.
- Offer expertise on business processes for projects and production support issues.
- Maintain core Insurance systems and related infrastructure like Kubernetes and SOLR.
- Improve batch efficiency and reduce costs, including audit-ready data archiving strategies.
- Provide data analysis to support business decisions across Operations and Claims.
- Deliver patching, database fixes, and business-critical data correction services.
What we’d love you to bring:
- Java 17+ (preferably 21), Spring Boot
- Jenkins, GIT and CI/CD
- Jira and Confluence
- Monitoring / alerting tools and solutions
- Scripting or coding with shell/bash, and Python

We are recruiting for a Premium Finance Underwriter to join our wider Underwriting team. You will provide support on implementing esure’s strategy to optimise customer outcomes and profit for the premium finance product. If you have experience in an Underwriting role and knowledge of Insurance or wider Financial Services products this could be a great role for you.
What you’ll do:
- Input into our projects / programmes related to Premium Finance product whilst also providing input to the development and delivery of our product roadmaps.
- Maintain and grow your understanding of the current and emerging opportunities and risks of Premium Finance products.
- Build strong relationships with departments across the business (especially with our claims department) to enable provision of effective repair/replace and claim defence strategies.
- Work with Pricing to assess and gain an understanding of the impact, risks and opportunities presented by developments within Premium Finance and our other key insurance products.
- Maintain an appropriate underwriting footprint via appropriate pricing, aggregator filters, underwriting rules.
- Devise rules and analyse output of underwriting tools to detect and remove unwanted, suspicious and potentially fraudulent business at the ‘front door’.
- Use data/technology to deliver intelligence throughout customer lifetime to become a market leader and drive exponential growth
What we’d love you to bring:
- Great underwriting experience with knowledge of either insurance or wider financial services products.
- Any experience with premium finance products or a credit type background would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of using products and propositions to drive customer appeal and loyalty.
- Ability to identify and anticipate potential business opportunities, risks and threats.
- You will be inquisitive and strive to understand what data is telling us to in order for our business to make informed decisions.
- Someone who can successfully build strong relationships and partnerships with other business areas.
The Interview Process (subject to change):
- You’ll start with an introductory call with one of our Recruitment Partners. This is a ‘get to know you session’ and for you to explore the position in more detail.
- 1st stage interview: 1 hour with our Portfolio Underwriting Lead and another senior member of the Underwriting function
