Job Description
This role is part-time, reduced year: 35 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. The actual pro rata salary for this role is £21,519 per annum.
The 14+ Academies at Leeds City College are looking for a passionate and personable individual to support our learners in a Learning Support role due to start in September 2025.
The post holder will work closely with all staff in a wide-ranging role designed to help our learners’ progress during lessons.

What You Will Do- Put in place interventions for whole groups or individual learners to help and support learners both academically and developmentally, often in conjunction with the relevant Head of Year.
- To work within the 14+ Academies ethos and culture as well as using relevant tools and concepts such as the effort descriptors and APLs (Academy Progress Levels).
- Update, reflect and maintain the 14+ Academies tracking systems continuously, allowing you to recognise the need for interventions and subsequently putting them in place.
- Form meaningful and impactful relationships quickly.
- Work positively and effectively as a member of a team and on own initiative.
- Experience and knowledge of supporting young people both academically and developmentally, including those aged 14-16.
- Experience of positively managing learner progress in an education setting, including those aged 14-16.
- Ability to work positively and effectively as a member of a team and on own initiative.
