The Opportunity
As a SEND Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 lessons that are tailored to each student. The aim of tuition will be to support in the re-integration process of education. The tuition is replacing school for these young people and each individual is commissioned a certain amount of hours. An Academic Tutor is needed in a Non-Selective Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London.
This Academic Tutor position will be full time and permanent.
Working hours for this Academic Tutor post will be 8am to 4pm, with some additional hours before and after school.
Duties for this Academic Tutor role will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting individuals and groups of students in English/Literacy classes
- Working with teachers to better understand and further develop the learning of pupils
- Track and maintain records of pupil attainment
- Liaise with parents in regard to the performance of their children
- Effectively employing the school's behaviour policy
- Organise schedules with other members of staff
The salary for this Academic Tutor position will be between 28521 and 28929, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
