- Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.
- Manage cash flow and treasury functions, ensuring adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and financial regulations and ensure the company remains compliant.
Qualifications:
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA is essential.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 4 years in a senior finance role, preferably as a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and relevant tax legislation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
- Experience within the financial services sector is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
