Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct complex forensic accounting investigations, including fraud, embezzlement, and financial misconduct.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, patterns, and evidence of wrongdoing.
- Develop and execute forensic audit plans and methodologies.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, evidence, and conclusions for clients and legal counsel.
- Act as an expert witness in legal proceedings, providing clear and concise testimony.
- Assist in the quantification of financial losses and damages.
- Conduct fraud risk assessments and develop internal control recommendations.
- Manage client engagements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service.
- Collaborate with legal professionals, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in forensic accounting and fraud investigation.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with specialized forensic accounting qualifications (e.g., CFAP, CFE) highly desirable.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigation, or litigation support.
- Proven experience in managing forensic accounting engagements and leading investigations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and forensic accounting software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Overall responsibility for Balance sheet control and reconciliation.
The Head of Accounting will be responsible for ensuring statutory compliance and overall efficiency within our accounting processes and procedures. Managing the accounting and payroll teams directly to ensure compliance on all areas and delivery of an effective accounting function.
Overall ownership and control of the following areas;
- Accounts receivable (Including ensuring effective credit control)
- Accounts Payable (Ensuring on time payments to suppliers)
- Treasury (cash management and forecasting)
- All balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Monthly reporting on Key KPI's within the accounting function
- Tax compliance & Optimisation (VAT, CIS, Payroll, STBV etc, R&D Tax credits)
- Statutory Audit management and Corp tax (including R&D submission)
- Payroll processing and reconciliations
- Pension Compliance
- Management of Accounting and payroll teams
Requirements:
- Chartered accountant
- A background in business services / accounting teams
- Experience operating in a complex business with separate business units and overseas group companies.
