In this role you will work within the Aero Development Team, employing cutting-edge techniques to deliver aerodynamic performance to the race car. This will involve analyzing computational and wind tunnel data and fostering innovation throughout the design and development process. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success.
- Deliver aerodynamic performance to the race car, by analyzing CFD and wind tunnel data as well as innovating throughout the design and development process
- Build an understanding of the aerodynamic structures and behaviors around the race car
- Work with management groups to construct a mutually agreed and communicated aerodynamic development plan
- Suggest, investigate and, where applicable, implement new methods and processes to improve efficiency of aerodynamic ideas generation, design, testing, analysis, and reporting
- Contribute to collaborative discussions and efforts to improve whole-car performance, offering ideas and taking on board feedback from others
- Communicate key findings, opportunities and threats to the Lead Engineer

What do you need to bring to the team?
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Aerodynamics/Aeronautics) or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the motorsport industry
- Good understanding of the Formula 1® Technical Regulations
- Good knowledge of CFD methods and analysis of CFD data
- Experience in directly contributing to aerodynamic development, including planning, organizing and managing aerodynamic development projects against pre-agreed targets
- Good knowledge with 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA)
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors
- Clear and concise communication, verbally and written, including with key stakeholders and directors
- Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours during race season

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Aerodynamics Test Engineer / Test Technician to join an industry leading Bedford based R&D company. You will join a friendly and supportive team responsible for supporting on a wide variety of research projects from inception to completion through all stages of preparation, wind-tunnel testing, aerodynamics analysis and reporting.
To be suitable for this role you will need to have a passion for Aircraft and aerospace and know your way around wind tunnel testing and being able to analysis and record aerodynamics data with the skills to help produce quality technical reports.
This role also requires candidates to be able to gain UK Security Clearance.

We have an opportunity for an Aerodynamics Engineer (Thermal) to join the team at our Silverstone facility. In this role you will work within a group of engineers to support the development of the aerodynamic thermal systems of the team’s race cars (brakes, PU, electronics), through the analysis of computational methods and an innovating approach to design and development. - Develop aerodynamic cooling solutions for aerothermal requirements (PU, brake, electronics and other cooling requirements), working with senior team members to ensure target performance parameters are achieved

- Build a good understanding of the aerodynamic structures and behaviours around the race car
