We have an opportunity for an **Advanced Project Engineer (Aerospace)** to join us at Honeywell, in Yeovil. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model, with occasional travel to customer sites in UK and Europe.

+ You will be responsible for leading the design, qualification and compliance of various aerospace electronic products from concept through to production.
+ Responsible for all aspects of the product development: Technical, Budget, Schedule, Scope of work and baseline control, Customer interface, Reporting within Honeywell, Compliance with all processes and procedures
+ Drive a team of diverse skillsets, backgrounds and abilities to achieve the successful conclusion of the development project, on time, on budget and of the highest quality.

+ Degree (BSc) or equivalent in electronics or aerospace engineering and DFSS Green Belt certification preferred.
+ Demonstrable experience in the digital and analogue electronics design lifecycle as well as the software design lifecycle, to an extent that inspires confidence in the design team being led.
+ Demonstrable experience in commercial or military aerospace governance standards, in particular RTCA/DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254. Experience in requirements and configuration management, quality standards and documentation to a level commensurate with aerospace products and techniques for ensuring built in quality and safety.
+ Conversant with and have experience in all facets of project management and tools: Resource, cost and milestone planning via typical planning tools such as Microsoft Project; Risk management; Earned value; Baseline change management; Progress reporting into director level and Customers; Take responsibility for design and phase gate reviews.
+ Experience with development of management operating systems for projects per AS9100 and Aerospace Procedures.

About the Role:
Are you an experienced aircraft engineering professional with a strong background in rotary military aviation? Our client is seeking dedicated and skilled Supervisors to join their team supporting the Wildcat Maritime Force at RNAS Yeovilton. This is a key role within our client's Defence division, providing essential maintenance and operational support to 815 and 825 Naval Air Squadrons.
As a Supervisor, you will coordinate and oversee daily engineering activities, ensuring compliance with MOD, RN, and our client's standards. You'll play a vital part in maintaining aircraft airworthiness, mentoring technicians, and driving continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years in an airworthiness environment.
- At least 6 months working on Wildcat/Lynx or rotary military aircraft within the last 24 months.
- Previous supervisory experience in aircraft engineering.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of Wildcat aircraft systems and support equipment.
- Proficient in Health & Safety, COSHH, and quality assurance practices.
- Skilled in project planning, lean operations, and engineering asset management systems.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications:
- Service Certificate of Competency (CoC) or ability to complete CoC Supervisory Management and Aircraft Documentation Course within 3 months.
- Completed or able to complete a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
- Thorough understanding of MAOS Military Regulations Part 145 and rotary wing military aviation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and allocate daily workloads for engineering teams.
- Ensure all contracted tasks are completed in line with MOD/RN and Our client policies.
- Conduct inspections and provide second signature authorisation within trade group.
- Support training, mentoring, and development of team members.
- Monitor and report safety, quality, and compliance issues.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
