Our client, a pioneering force in the aviation industry, is seeking an experienced Lead Flight Operations Engineer to join their innovative team. This role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a crucial role in optimizing flight operations, enhancing safety protocols, and implementing cutting-edge technologies to improve efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation operations, systems engineering, and data analysis, coupled with leadership experience. You will collaborate with pilots, air traffic control, and other operational stakeholders to ensure seamless and safe flight execution. This position requires a deep understanding of aviation regulations, performance metrics, and advanced operational strategies.

- Analyze flight data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in flight performance and fuel efficiency.
- Develop and manage operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with flight crews, engineering teams, and regulatory bodies to resolve operational issues.
- Oversee the integration and utilization of new technologies and systems within flight operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for operational hazards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to flight operations personnel.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of flight planning and dispatch systems.
- Mentor and develop junior flight operations engineers.
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in flight operations, aerospace engineering, or a related aviation role.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex operational projects.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA) and safety management systems.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience using flight data analysis tools.
- Proficiency in flight planning software and operational systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
- Experience with performance engineering and optimization techniques in aviation.
- A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
