TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners.
Join us as a Supplier Performance Analyst and lead the charge in improving supplier delivery, quality, and inventory. You'll partner with Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, and Operations teams to build strong supplier relationships and drive performance that exceeds customer expectations. Your insights and actions will make a real impact on our business success!
**Your main tasks:**
+ Establishing the supplier sourcing strategy, identifying and managing the customer needs, and deciding the strategic suppliers accordingly to maintain the product footprint.
+ Monitoring the negotiation of raw materials, preparing the RFQs in alignment with the supplier strategy, and assisting with make or buy analysis.
+ Driving the teams for savings and spending reduction initiatives, improving material productivity, and ensuring compliance with the regulatory standards of the suppliers.
+ Leading the optimization of supplier footprints, monitoring the supplier consolidation activities, and setting up the new suppliers in alignment with the strategy
+ Assess supplier capabilities to meet business requirements.
+ Partner with SQEs to resolve quality issues.
+ Train suppliers on TE tools and procedures.
+ Coach new team members on TE systems and guidelines.
+ Support Commodity Managers in monthly and quarterly supplier reviews.
+ Monitor supplier performance metrics and communicate insights.
+ Help plan and execute Supplier Town Hall meetings.

Reporting to the Head of Change Management, Operations, Europe, the Analyst is responsible for helping to run with multiple change initiatives across the Operations teams in London and Dublin. The role…

We are looking for a Senior Research Analyst, to work in a close-knit group of analysts based in Oxford who are charged with meeting the needs of our clients in the global sugar sector.

The role involves undertaking detailed economic, quantitative, market analysis and research assignments. These include forecasting supply and demand, price outlook, policy analysis, performance/cost of production benchmarking as well as carrying out bespoke consulting projects for our clients. Examples of these projects include feasibility studies, price outlooks in specific markets or market segments, and policy analysis.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Carrying out analysis and forecasts underpinning the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual services of the sugar research team.
  • li>Tracking and forecasting sugar supply, demand, price and policy developments in the sugar sector in key geographies.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and organisation the database underpinning the analysis we undertake.
  • Managing consulting projects with support from other team members.
  • Developing a detailed knowledge of the sugar industry that is required to offer expertise to our clients.
  • Liaise with industry stakeholders (grower associations, producers, consumers, policy makers etc.); the role may involve occasional research trips.

What we’re looking for…

The work we do demands people with intelligent, enquiring and analytical minds, with the ability to apply micro-economic and statistical analysis in real-world situations

For this role, we are looking for someone who has or can demonstrate a desire to acquire a detailed knowledge of the sugar sector. The successful candidate will be able to formulate in rigorous economic terms but simple language, ideas about the economic forces, including the policies, market trends and structural changes shaping the sector.

Applicants with a background in agricultural economics (Masters or above) would be preferred, but this is not essential for the right candidate.
