Job Description
Overview of the role
We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead our App and Website portfolio within the Digital Product team. These platforms are the core of our patient and customer experience, spanning NHS prescriptions, private clinics, and eCommerce across multiple brands. Today, they run on a mix of Magento, BigCommerce, and React Native — and you’ll help shape their evolution into a unified, composable healthcare ecosystem.
This role sits at the heart of our transformation: guiding outsourced development squads, ensuring work aligns with business priorities, and championing patient-centred digital journeys. Alongside direct ownership of the app and website roadmap, you’ll also provide oversight of a second agency squad — flagging risks, ensuring build approaches are sound, and keeping delivery aligned with the broader product strategy.
The role is hybrid working with 3 days in the office, and 2 days working from home.
Main Responsibilities
- Own the product vision and roadmap for our app and website platforms across multiple brands.
- Guide outsourced squads, providing continuity across teams working on shared technical foundations.
- Partner with UX, engineering, and business stakeholders to shape requirements and priorities, balancing near-term delivery on existing platforms with longer-term migration to composable services.
- Ensure workstreams meet regulatory, clinical, and commercial needs while driving measurable impact for patients and customers.
- Translate requirements into clear, actionable product increments and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor progress and proactively flag risks, misalignments, or delivery concerns.
- Drive continuous optimisation of digital journeys to improve conversion, retention, and patient experience.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure app and website initiatives are integrated into the wider digital product landscape.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work pragmatically in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and high visibility.
Key knowledge and skills required for the role:
- Strong product management experience across digital platforms (web and/or app), ideally in multi-brand or multi-service contexts.
- Proven ability to deliver in complex, regulated, or highly integrated environments (healthcare experience an advantage but not essential).
- Experience guiding outsourced or distributed squads, with a balance of oversight and empowerment.
- Skilled at collaborating with engineering, UX, data, and business stakeholders to align priorities and deliver outcomes.
- Commercially astute, able to link product decisions to measurable impact (conversion, retention, efficiency, or patient experience).
- Familiarity with backend integrations, APIs, and third-party platforms, with the confidence to challenge or validate technical approaches at a high level.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity: able to cut through complexity, clarify scope, and keep delivery on track.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
The Ideal Candidate
Well are proud to be a diverse and inclusive employer. If you have any specific requirements, we'll do everything we can to support you. Whether it is to find a pharmacy that is accessible, or if it is a part time position you are looking for, we can help find the role that is right for you. If you need us to make any reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process, we will be happy to accommodate you .
Please be aware that due to the high number of applications we receive it may not be possible for us to provide an outcome to all applicants. If you are not contacted within 28 days of your submission unfortunately you will have been unsuccessful.
