About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Architect to join a collaborative project team delivering medium to large-scale network solutions for a high-profile customer. You will be responsible for designing secure, scalable network architectures and supporting their implementation alongside engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver robust network solutions across various workstreams (Main Programme, Live Service, Service Requests, RFCs)
• Collaborate with Programme and Project Managers to meet solution delivery goals
• Work closely with the Lead Architect/Deputy CTO to align designs with business and technical requirements
• Create and maintain high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD) for areas such as: Cisco FMC, SSM, FTD, Gigamon HC1 and GigaVUE FM, Juniper WAN/LAN, Endace, NTP, Data Centre Firewall and LAN
• Support Network Design and Support Engineers in overcoming delivery and operational challenges
• Contribute to governance, design reviews, and customer reporting
• Ensure all designs are fit-for-purpose and standards-compliant
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong background in network architecture and infrastructure design
• Experience working on overseas infrastructure solutions
• Knowledge of a broad range of network and security technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Gigamon)
• Proficient in network routing protocols, VPNs, virtual routing instances, QoS, security zones/policies, and high availability design
• Demonstrable ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot IP addressing schemes
• Hands-on experience with Juniper (SRX, EX), Cisco, and Gigamon network products
• Proficiency with requirements management and associated tooling
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to take initiative, share knowledge, and make timely, informed decisions
