About the team
You'll join AWS Professional Services, a global team of experts who help customers achieve their desired business outcomes using AWS Cloud. We work alongside customer teams and AWS Partners to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives through focused guidance and hands-on implementation.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in application development with experience on cloud platforms
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one programming language (TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, React, Java, C#, Go)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns and microservices
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, GitOps and CI/CD tools
- Experience with Infrastructure as code tooling e.g CloudFormation, CDK or Terraform

Our client, a global insurance holding company is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Azure Cloud Migration Architect, on an initial 9 months contract, to lead the final stage of their transformation journey from on-premises VMware to Microsoft Azure AVS (Azure VMware Solution). This role is central to our client's cloud strategy and is responsible for shaping and executing the technical design, migration architecture, and future operating model within Azure.

With a deep technical foundation in Azure and AVS, you will drive collaboration across internal stakeholders, external partners, and cloud providers to ensure a seamless and secure migration. Strategic thinking, leadership, and cloud architecture excellence are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the final phase of our client's cloud migration from on-premises VMware infrastructure to Azure AVS.
  • Own and drive technical design decisions for Azure-based cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in AVS and Azure cloud-native technologies, guiding internal teams and external delivery partners.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Deep, practical expertise in Microsoft Azure, AVS, cloud infrastructure, security, and governance (Azure certifications preferred).

Your Role

Our client, a leading multinational corporation undergoing a significant digital transformation, is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex cloud migration initiatives in Reading, Berkshire, UK . This role is crucial in guiding the organization's transition to modern, scalable cloud infrastructures. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of large-scale IT projects, ensuring successful migration, integration, and optimization of cloud services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing cloud projects (AWS, Azure, GCP), a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT cloud migration projects from initiation to closure.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including internal IT staff, external vendors, and third-party consultants.
  • Oversee the migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are integrated into all cloud environments and migration processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years focused on cloud computing and migration projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale cloud migration projects involving AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and application development.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships for complex IT projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.

Our OEM Client based in Coventry, is searching for a Software Development Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities, including key performance indicators:

  • Working with control boards to perform microcontroller software testing.
  • Analyse system level requirements and decompose to software requirements.
  • Design software components in-line with requirements.
  • Implement software components using MATLAB/Simulink and/or C/C++ code.
  • Develop and execute software component unit test cases.
  • Contribute to software validation activities using Model in Loop, Software in Loop and Hardware in Loop platforms.
  • Contribute to software code reviews.
  • Deliver verified and validated software according to project deliverables and timing.
  • Assist in process alignment and adherence to key internal and industry standard coding rules and practices to ensure compliance with ASPICE and ISO 26262.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

As a UK Software Development Intern (Finance) you will be joining a small team responsible for developing and maintaining internal accounting and controlling web applications. You will write code, design and query databases, manage cloud services and technical compliance in a corporate environment. This year long placement covers all aspects of software development as well as providing you a grounding in the Finance domain, with a focus on learning and improve skills that will further your career development.

The team are currently located near Bournemouth; therefore you will need to live or be willing to relocate to the Bournemouth area to fulfil the requirements of this role. You will be expected to work from the Bournemouth office every Tuesday & Wednesday as a minimum.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Develop small/medium changes to applications across the full tech stack, reporting your progress in weekly development standups,
  • Familiarise yourself with the existing application landscape, evaluating implementation against 'best practices' and writing automated tests to enshrine existing functionality,
  • Providing a "support first" service, acting as first point of contact for application users and escalating common themes or pain points to the development team,
  • Act as "first gate" for accepting requirements and incidents into the weekly standup, investigating the technical feasibility/root cause,
  • Manage deployments through from image building, through CI/CD pipelines, to container launches, escalating where necessary,
  • Partner with our offshore support teams to document existing application processes and technical interventions,
  • Partner with the Digital Core (DC) organisation to ensure compliance with all technical and cybersecurity requirements,
  • Reconciling financial data between systems of record and the internal application landscape,
  • Proactively suggesting simplifications to processes where it makes sense, designing sustainable technical solutions to drive efficiency, productivity and cost reduction,
  • Ad hoc reporting.
