We are seeking a highly motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining automated testing solutions that ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable software.
This role requires a strong technical background in test engineering, excellent collaboration skills, and a proven ability to work in fast-paced Agile environments.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver comprehensive, robust, and reliable automated test frameworks and automation suites to achieve full coverage of business requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain an effective and scalable test infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation within the test automation code base.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other teams to improve testing practices, tools, and processes.
- Apply Agile principles and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary Agile team.
- Review requirements and specifications to define test conditions, identify risks, and provide feedback.
- Analyse and report test activities and results to support informed decision-making.
- Design and execute non-functional test cases (e.g. performance, security, accessibility) using standard testing techniques.

- Apply core technical concepts effectively within the role.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of test engineering best practices .
- Experience with functional and non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility, etc.).
- Skilled in systems integration testing and microservices/API testing .
- Hands-on experience with security testing and understanding of associated risks.
- Proficiency in performance testing methodologies and tools.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain automated test suites .
- Experience with test infrastructure tools such as Docker and containerisation.
- Strong understanding of TDD and BDD principles .
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation in build and deployment workflows.
- Strong Java (11/17/21) development experience and knowledge of the Spring Boot framework .
- Experience with test frameworks such as Cucumber, REST Assured, and WireMock.
- Hands-on knowledge of front-end testing frameworks such as Selenium.
- Experience in accessibility testing in line with WCAG standards.
- SC Security Clearance (or eligibility) required to access production logs.

iO are working with an established and rapidly growing Digital agency in their search for 2 Automation Testers to join them on a permanent basis
They work with global technology leaders to provide digital transformation services to a number of customers in industries including not-for-profit, financial services and the pubic sector
This specific project is supporting a Gov agency who are building a new AI data platform
You will be responsible for automated testing of Microsoft Dynamics & Power Platform solutions, as well as writing and executing manual test cases where required too. You will be involved in the maintenance and evolution of frameworks and automation test suites, applying best practice standards to all you do
You must have knowledge and exposure to the capabilities of AI, how it can be used to benefit testing and automated testing as well as how to carry out testing of AI solutions and the ability to integrate that into an automation capability
Must have experience in testing one or more of the following:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in automated testing
- ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced)
