A premier sports club based in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK , is seeking an accomplished and inspiring Head Coach to lead its performance swimming program. This is a crucial on-site role dedicated to developing elite athletes and fostering a culture of excellence within the swimming squad. You will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive training plans, monitoring athlete progress, and ensuring the team achieves its competitive goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a long-term strategic plan for the performance swimming program.
- Design and deliver innovative training sessions tailored to individual athlete needs.
- Monitor athlete performance, providing constructive feedback and analysis.
- Oversee the physical conditioning, technical development, and mental preparedness of swimmers.
- Lead and mentor assistant coaches and other support staff.
- Manage the competitive schedule and ensure athletes are prepared for events.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive team environment.
- Collaborate with sports scientists, physiotherapists, and nutritionists to optimize athlete well-being.
- Maintain records of athlete progress, training logs, and competition results.
