Architectural Technician Job in Fulham, London
A friendly, boutique-sized architecture practice has an Architectural Technician job now available. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to work on contemporary high-end residential refurbishments and new builds for both private clients and developers.
Established in 2011, the practice has built a strong reputation for delivering clean, cohesive architecture in super-prime areas such as RBKC, Westminster, and beyond. Their portfolio includes mews houses in Notting Hill, townhouses in Chelsea, a basement refurbishment in Putney, and a full rebuild in Wandsworth.
Current projects include a Knightsbridge portfolio of high-risk buildings (HRBs) requiring Building Safety Regulator submissions, a 59-unit office-to-residential conversion in Chiswick, and a new-build private house in Market Mews, Mayfair.
Role & Responsibilities
- To work on high-end residential schemes in London's most prime locations, project values range from 1million - 3 million pounds
- Produce detailed technical drawing packages using Vectorworks
- Preparation of tender information and construction documentation (drawings and NBS)
- Development of detailed and technical designs
- Work in both new build and refurbishment projects
- Work alongside other Architects in the studio, whilst your main responsibilities will be focused on all things technical
- Reporting to the Directors on your progress.
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualified as an Architectural Technologist/Technician, or Architect with a minimum of 3 year's professional working experience within a UK practice
- Vectorworks is very desirable, but applications without this will be considered
- Construction pack production and detail design experience
- Experience working on high-end residential projects in London locations
- Strong technical detailing ability
- Familiarity with BSR/HRB compliance is a bonus
- Excellent English, both written and verbal + eligible to work in the UK.

Architectural Technician Position Overview
- Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
- Work alongside Senior members of staff
- work on bespoke high-end Office, Retail and commercial projects across all RIBA stages
- Produce detailed technical construction information on the project
- Prepare and develop drawings, models and images, and other documents related to design
- Report to the directors on the progress of projects
- Prepare and present design proposals using AutoCAD/Revit and other design software, as well as traditional drawing methods
- Liaise with appropriate authorities when producing documentation for statutory approval
