The Role:
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, advising on a diverse range of asset finance matters, including transactions, transaction documentation review, and preparation and negotiation of security documentation.
The candidate will play a key role in high-profile transactions, advising a broad client base of national and international clients on a variety of asset finance matters. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria:
- 4+ years’ PQE;
- Strong background in asset finance, banking, or structured finance. Background in two or more areas highly desirable;
- Strong academics;
- Demonstrable commercial awareness;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Supervisory skills;
- Willingness to become involved in business development;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.

Role Overview
This role will involve advising internal stakeholders on:
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating asset finance documentation (leasing, hire purchase, sale & leaseback, refinancing)
- Updating and maintaining financing templates and policy documents
- Collaborating with external counsel on transaction structures
- Reviewing project finance documentation for syndicated credit facilities
- Supporting a portfolio that includes both regulated and unregulated assets
This is a hands-on, commercially driven role requiring someone who can work flexibly across bespoke transactions and isn’t reliant solely on LMA precedents.
What We’re Looking For
- Mid to Senior asset finance lawyer with strong experience across leasing and structured finance.
- England & Wales qualified Solictor.
- Comfortable with bespoke, non-standard transactions
- Pragmatic, fast-moving, and commercially minded – able to get deals over the line efficiently.
- Experience with consumer credit regulation is helpful but not essential
This role can be in office or mostly remote (within the UK) with a day or two in office as required.

We are looking for a talented Financial Analysis Manager to join our team specializing in Finance and Costing for Cummins in Daventry, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**
+ Lead the Costing and PFR team, setting clear goals and expectations for deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
+ Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) submission and quarterly forecasts for key financial areas such as volumes, standard hours, managed expenses, purchase variances, inventory, variance analysis, and bridge preparation.
+ Conduct variance analysis for actuals vs. AOP/forecasts, including headcount, project expenses, wave savings, purchase variances, and inventory, providing financial insights and support to various stakeholders.
+ Oversee the annual standard cost-setting exercise, preparing detailed analyses of material cost and overhead changes to ensure accurate and well-supported standard cost updates.
+ Lead the Annual Physical Verification Exercise as the primary finance contact, managing planning, execution, and variance analysis to ensure high accuracy and compliance.
+ Support the financial closing process by ensuring accuracy in inventory valuation (including excess & obsolete stock), material cost reporting, and substantiation of high-quality balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Review and adjust tax forecasts, balance sheets, and cash flow hedge reports, ensuring alignment with changing financial forecasts and business strategies.
+ Coach and develop PFR & Inventory team members, fostering their professional growth, building technical capabilities, and creating a clear succession roadmap.
