Passenger Assistance Agent

Location:  Christchurch 

Hours:  up to 40 hours a week. Flexible hours including - spilt shifts, day, evening shifts and weekends.  

Hourly Rate:  £12.21 Per Hour

Skills and Experience needed for the Passenger Assistance Agent:

• Provide support to passengers with special assistance needs, including those with reduced mobility, hidden disabilities, illness, age-related challenges, or other conditions requiring additional support.
• Ensure all assistance is delivered in a safe, compliant, and respectful manner, maintaining passenger dignity at all times.
• Assist passengers from arrival (forecourts, car parks, bus/coach stops, taxi stands) through to their aircraft seat and vice versa.
• Act as the main point of contact for special assistance passengers, offering a professional and courteous service throughout.
• Guide passengers through Customs and Immigration where required.
• Follow all relevant legislation, airport authority regulations, and BIA Handling Ltd SOPs.
• Operate specialist equipment and airline software as trained.
• Complete documentation and uphold the highest standards of safety and security at all times.
• Carry out aircraft cleaning and any additional duties as assigned.

Needed for the Passenger Assistance Agent:

• Willing and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong communication skills.
• Able to follow set procedures while maintaining a flexible, solution-focused approach.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions, when required.
• Demonstrates a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Assistant Shift Team Leader

MC Technical Recruitment are looking for a Assistant Shift Team Leader / Senior Operations Technician to join the operations department of a biomass power station in Sittingbourne, Kent.

The ASTL will report into the Shift Team Leader and be responsible for the safe and efficient start up, shut down and running of the power station via a control room.

As a Assistant Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

•    Assisting the STL with operating, controlling, and monitoring boilers, pumps, steam turbines and heat exchangers via a DCS.

•    Operating the overhead crane efficiently when required.

•    Monitoring flow rates, temperature, pressure around the plant to ensure equipment is working safely, efficiently and complies with health and safety requirements.

•    Conducting plant walk rounds / routines and first line maintenance work on plant equipment when needed.

•    Completing all training provided to aid your understanding and develop your knowledge of the plant.

To be considered for this role you should have:

•    A relevant technical apprenticeship in an engineering discipline along with an HNC/ONC level qualification or similar.

•    Maintenance or operations experience from transferable heavy process engineering sectors such as Paper Mill, Power Station, Water Treatment, Chemical Production etc.

•    Royal or Merchant Navy Marine Engineers are also encouraged to apply.

•    High voltage experience is also desirable but not necessary.

•    A positive attitude and willingness to progress and develop in the role

•    Be flexible in terms of working on a 12 hour shift pattern (day and night shifts).
