Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Assistant Site Engineer on behalf of a Civil Engineering subcontractor to work on Plotworks/Roads & Sewers projects in the North East.
Within the role you will be mentored by a Senior Engineer to assist in the development of your ability to set out Civils works on infrastructure sites.
Other duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Setting out and ensuring the safe construction of works in line with the client specification
- Adherence to Health & Safety works on site
- Reviewing Site Records and As-Built drawings
- Liaising with the client and maintaining strong relationships with the business
To be considered for the position you must hold some, if not all, of the below requirements:
- Relevant qualificationin Civil Engineering (HNC/HND preferred)
- Previous experience of working as an Assistant Site Engineer.
- Reliable in your work with a can do attitude

What you will be doing:
Setting out works, proficient use of surveying instruments, and interpreting technical drawings.
Supporting quality control processes, inspection & testing, and maintaining accurate records.
Applying health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards on site.
Engaging with the project team and client representatives to ensure successful delivery.
Continuously developing your technical knowledge, CAD skills, and understanding of construction methodologies.
What you will bring:
You will possess or be working towards a qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering to HNC level or above
Experience in delivering setting out and engineering processes on construction projects (residential groundworks project experience an advantage).
Knowledge of CAD software
Competent in surveying and setting out techniques.

The Product Engineering Support Technician is responsible for supporting the Product Engineering team based In Ilfracombe in a range of product life cycle activities (NPI, Mould tool changes, Material changes and Sustainment, internal NCR reduction and external POR reduction) for Cytiva.
This position reports to the Product Engineering Team Lead and is part of the Product Engineering team located in the clean room in Ilfracombe, UK and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
+ Support the Product Engineering team to carry out experiments, trials, DOE and validation activity for both product and equipment improvements.
+ To provide written and verbal summaries of engineering studies carried out.
+ Set up and optimize manufacturing equipment to support the development of new products and machinery.
Who you are:
+ Competent in I.T. practices and experience of common Microsoft applications
+ Minimum 1 years relevant experience
+ A recognised engineering qualification and/or relevant experience demonstrating a practical hands-on approach.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
+ Ability to travel - occasional not mandatory
+ Desirable to have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Local manufacturing knowledge covering multiple manufacturing process steps
