We are seeking a highly organised Audio Typist. You will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio recordings from solicitors, caseworkers, and outreach sessions. You will play a vital role in helping produce legal correspondence, case files and reports that support our clients access to justice.
Job duties

- To liaison with meeting coordinator or venue director to establish workflow of events.
- Create and install custom lighting systems.
- Monitor sound feeds to ensure quality.
- Diagnose and correct media system problems.
- Coordinate audio feeds with LED display images.
- Clean audio and video equipment and store properly.
- Ensure the safe storage and integrity of data.
- Maintain inventory of equipment.
Requirements

- Perform inventory management of equipment, wirings, and accessories to avoid any shortages.

- Perform equipment inspections, Identify potential equipment malfunctions
- Assemble and disassemble audi0 equipment as needed.
- Testing of pre-installed equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions.
- Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required.
- Maintain the work room and storeroom clean, safe, and organized.

The Role:We are seeking an experienced AV Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of corporate AV systems.
Key Duties:- Carry out the installation of corporate AV hardware including control systems, projectors, screens, cabling, cameras, microphones, and speakers.
- Build data racks to a tidy, high standard.
- Configure audio DSPS.
- Commission and test installed systems.

The Role

Candidate Profile

Skills and Experience
- Idelaly a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in AV installation, field engineering, or technical support.
- Solid understanding of AV technologies including projectors, flat panel displays, matrix switchers, PA systems, and structured cabling.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and logical fault diagnosis.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a confident approach to client engagement.

Audio Visual Engineer - Manchester/Hybrid working
We are working with our client, a Global Professional Services Firm as they add to their Manchester based Technology Team.
The role is Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 and as part of a wider cross border Team you would provide audiovisual technical support and virtual event assistance to their Global workforce.
You would utilise your technical expertise to offer support for meetings and events, both virtually and locally in-person. You would work with support professional to offer troubleshooting support, but you will also help support the AV Engineering team in areas such as programming of equipment.
Please note that this is a technical hands-on role not just a support role. Duties will include, but not be limited to, hosting and managing virtual meetings as needed, and offering advice as to the best mediums and managing and supporting other equipment such as webcams, lighting, microphones, projectors, sound equipment, cabling etc
It is essential that you have hardware experience and have the confidence to work independently.
Skills and experience required:
- You will be able to evidence Technical AV experience in a large corporate environment in a standalone AV role
- Experience of working with Extron or Crestron, Logitec and Bi-Amp, in addition to this we would welcome individuals with experience in Shure and Polycom
- Good broad Unified Communication experience
- A good understanding of videoconference systems and audiovisual components
- It would also be beneficial, but not essential, if you have experience with NDI (network device interface) cameras
- It would highly beneficial, but not essential, if you have experience of administrating/supporting events on Teams and or Zoom
