This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the next generation of music creators, working with young adults aged 16+ in a vibrant, inclusive and project-based learning environment. The ideal candidate will be both musically skilled and educationally driven, with a commitment to excellence and learner success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, hands-on Music Production sessions at Level 1 and Level 2, primarily using Logic Pro X or similar software.
- Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the wellbeing of all learners.
- Use a project-based learning model to encourage creativity, collaboration, and real-world application.
- Guide learners in planning and executing music-related projects, including our annual showcase and company presentation event.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), providing timely feedback to support learner progress.
- Incorporate innovative industry-relevant experiences, including guest speakers, site visits, and collaborative projects.
- Ensure high levels of learner retention, achievement, and progression through effective teaching and assessment practices.
- Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings, using data to evaluate and improve course delivery and learner outcomes.
- Engage with parents and carers as appropriate, attending meetings and events to support student development.
- Represent the course and organisation at promotional events such as open evenings and community showcases.
Essential Attributes:
- Proven experience working with young adults (aged 16+) in music-focused environments such as teaching, workshops, or youth work.
- Ability to produce and mentor in contemporary music genres, supporting learners in developing their technical and creative skills.
- Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by learners from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds.
- A strong interest in a long-term career in education, including a willingness to undertake formal teaching qualifications (training can be provided).
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience using music production tools and software, particularly Logic Pro X, in educational or professional settings.
- A background in the creative industries with a demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to manage workload independently and adaptively.
- Enthusiastic and goal-oriented, with a strong commitment to learner success and progression.
- Effective communicator with proven teaching experience, ideally with exposure to Ofsted expectations of good or outstanding provision.
- Data-literate, with a proactive and solution-focused approach to tracking learner performance.
- Confident in managing classroom dynamics and supporting positive behaviour.
- A team player with high standards, ambition, and a strong desire to contribute to an outstanding educational environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
- Degree/relevant qualification in the subject

Skills and Experience
- Idelaly a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in AV installation, field engineering, or technical support.

- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and logical fault diagnosis.
