You will work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering departments to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, with hands-on experience in process optimisation, lean manufacturing principles, and statistical process control (SPC). A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Experience with CAD software and a solid understanding of automation and robotics in a manufacturing environment would be a significant advantage.   • Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities.
  • Implement and manage lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) to optimise workflow.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilise statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and control process variability.
  • Work with automation and robotics teams to integrate new equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure products meet specified standards.
  • Provide technical support to the production team and troubleshoot manufacturing problems.
  • Ensure all processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on process performance.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and waste minimisation efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging manufacturing technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) tools and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
  • Experience with automation and robotics is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
