Our client, a leading operator in the aviation sector, is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their operations team based at the airport in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK . This is a critical hands-on role responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and safety standards are met at all times. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to precision and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance on aircraft in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
  • Document all maintenance actions performed, including parts used and time taken, in compliance with company procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to aviation safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in line maintenance operations and respond to aircraft AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow technicians, engineers, and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Undergo continuous training and development to stay current with aircraft technologies and maintenance techniques.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
Qualifications:
  • EASA Part-66 AML qualification (Category A or B1/B2 preferred).
  • Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably on specific aircraft types relevant to the fleet.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, structures, and engines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by operational needs.
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous.
  • This role is based at our facility in Portsmouth and requires the technician to be on-site.
