About the Role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Avionics Systems Consultant to join our team on-site in Warton. Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and support high-level concept development for flight avionics systems.

Our client is a leader in aerospace innovation, seeking a highly experienced Senior Avionics Systems Engineer for a fully remote position. Based anywhere in the UK, you will play a key role in the design, development, integration, and testing of state-of-the-art avionics systems for next-generation aircraft. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to complex and challenging projects within the aviation sector, working with a talented and dispersed team.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in avionics systems engineering. You must possess a strong understanding of avionic architectures, communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, ARINC 664/AFDX), and navigation systems (e.g., GPS, INS). Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Enterprise Architect) and modeling languages (e.g., SysML) is required. Responsibilities include defining system requirements, developing system designs, managing interfaces, and overseeing the verification and validation process. You will collaborate closely with software, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure the successful integration and performance of avionics subsystems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively in a remote environment. A proactive approach to technical challenges and a commitment to aviation safety and standards are paramount.
