What Will You Be Doing?

As a PSV Electrical Mechanical Engineer , no two days will be the same! You’ll have the responsibility of:

  • Carrying out diagnostic fault finding and contributing to the continuous improvement of vehicle reliability.
  • Performing servicing, inspections, and repairs to the highest standards (DVSA and Arriva standards exceed the norm!).
  • Preparing buses for MOTs and supporting preventative maintenance campaigns to keep our fleet in peak condition.

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for someone who is as passionate about quality as we are! To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV, HGV maintenance (or an equivalent international qualification).
  • A full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points).

We are looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
Key responsibilities:
  • Operation & maintenance of H&V plant, including pumps, motors, actuators etc.
  • Daily boiler room & plant checks.
  • Maintaining commercial kitchen plant & equipment.
  • Carry out works on LV electrical installations, including install, fault finding & general maintenance.
  • Undertaking scheduled installations & maintenance on the above.
  • Fault finding, diagnosis & carrying out repair or replacement of equipment.
  • Managing stock & supplies of equipment, Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Oversee contractors.
  • Technical support to colleagues & assisting other staff members.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for colleagues.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
  • Liaise regularly with managers, supervisors & colleagues to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered to the client at all times.
  • Provide a highly customer focused service to the company and client at all times.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety.
  • Any other duties as and when required.

They will be responsible for developing feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration. In the role of Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer , we'll count on you to:

  • Coordinate the work of the mechanical design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
  • Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule
  • Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Review mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
  • Write and edit mechanical specifications, selects equipment, mechanical systems and devices
  • Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed
  • Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators or Mechanical CAD Technicians as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings

Mechanical Engineer

Location: Westminster, London

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 9am – 6pm

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Responsibilities
  1. The successful candidate will have proven experience in planned preventative and reactive maintenance, primarily working on mechanical systems such as plumbing, air conditioning, and pressure systems, and assisting with building fabric and electrical systems.
  2. Perform maintenance of assets following PPM schedules, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  3. Manage reactive tasks from diagnosis to sourcing parts and completion.
  4. Respond as first line to reactive call-outs, working safely and according to the relevant Codes of Practice.
  5. Collaborate with various parties, including subcontractors, to deliver high standards of work, following best practices.

Mechanical Engineer - Central London & Surrounding Areas

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a thriving and expanding team, maintaining and servicing mechanical plant rooms, pumps, boilers, TMVs, pressurization systems, cylinders, and Legionella control systems. Work is primarily reactive maintenance and PPMs, with minimal installation, covering Marylebone, Kew Gardens and other Royal Botanic Gardens sites.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain mechanical systems
  • Ensure health & safety compliance, including Legionella monitoring
  • Record and report work completed
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

  • G3 Unvented (desirable, not essential)
  • Proven experience in mechanical plant maintenance and PPMs
