What You'll Do

We're looking for a highly skilled Principal Engineer with a passion for data, cloud technologies, and building robust, scalable solutions - who also brings strategic product thinking and cross-functional leadership . In this role, you'll not only lead the design and implementation of the data infrastructure that powers advanced analytics and data science across our platforms, but also contribute to the strategic direction, roadmap, and execution of data products in collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Architect & Build Scalable Data Solutions

  • Collaborate closely with senior product stakeholders to understand data needs and architect end-to-end ingestion pipelines
  • Design and build robust ETL/ELT processes and data architectures using modern tools and techniques
  • Lead database design, data modelling, and integration strategies to support analytics at scale

Drive Data Integration & Management

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and efficient data ingestion frameworks across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Partner with product owners and engineers to develop data exchange protocols, ensuring best practices in data governance and security
  • Create and manage hybrid cloud data environments and support data pipelines for big data platforms

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Contribute to the strategy and vision for our data products, helping to define and evolve product roadmaps from launch through scale
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of product initiatives across cross-functional teams
  • Lead by example to help foster a high-performing, collaborative, and agile culture
  • Proactively identify and mitigate business, operational, and governance risks
  • Provide clear, data-driven updates on product performance and technical milestones to stakeholders

Collaborate Across Disciplines

  • Work together with data scientists to understand analytical needs and curate high-quality data sets
  • Map data fields to business hypotheses, wrangle data, and ensure datasets are model-ready
  • Contribute to a cross-functional engineering culture with a focus on quality, automation, and continuous improvement

Ensure Secure & Compliant Practices

  • Apply strong knowledge of information security principles to ensure compliant handling of sensitive client data
  • Build and deploy solutions with security, maintainability, and scalability top of mind


What You'll Bring

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a hands-on technical role delivering impact through data engineering, software development, or analytics
  • Demonstrated success in launching and scaling technical products or platforms
  • Strong programming skills in at least two of the following: Python, SQL, Java
  • Commercial experience in client-facing projects is a plus, especially within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Deep knowledge of database technologies:
    • Distributed systems (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, EMR)
    • RDBMS (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
    • NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Neo4j)
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices - code reviews, testing frameworks, CI/CD, and code maintainability
  • Experience deploying applications into production environments, including packaging, monitoring, and release management
  • Ability to extract insights from complex and disparate data sets and communicate clearly with stakeholders

Reporting to our Geo Senior Director and an important member of the Geo ECS leadership team, you will lead the identification, qualification, and creation of compelling Consulting Service proposals to secure strategic solution business.
You must be passionate about driving transformational customer outcomes and business for Autodesk. You are someone who has a talent for nurturing customer relationships and is comfortable engaging across all levels of the customer organization. You bring experienced skills in professional services sales and delivery, collaboration (internally and externally), and the ability to position services and solutions with measurable results/outcomes. **Responsibilities**
+ Create opportunities for growth within customer/industry portfolios
+ Create strategic, comprehensive business development plans to achieve growth and increase market share
+ Identify target markets, whitespace opportunities, develop leads, and directly prospect into those accounts
+ Deliver transformation program proposals with compelling customer value and outcomes, aligned with Autodesk offerings and capabilities
+ Develop customer sponsor and partner relationships and maintain communication channels
+ Align with Business Development peers in other GEOs to ensure best practices and shared insights
+ Develop relationships with important industry partners, clients, and decision-makers: Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects is the main focus in this role. You will engage with main decision-makers, maintain open lines of communication, and foster relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals
+ Become a strategic partner and subject matter expert for Sales and ECS leadership teams during pre-sales phases of the engagement
+ Partner with sales, technical sales, and business development teams on account strategies and opportunities
+ Use CS processes and best practices to ensure Autodesk customers are provided with solutions while ensuring return on investment for both parties
+ Collaborate with other Autodesk ECS leaders to ensure excellent professional services for partners worldwide
+ Work with executives and major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior-level leaders regarding matters of significance to our organization
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent)
+ Business degree or equivalent qualification
+ Commercial and sales success
+ Experience in accountability and responsibility for leading digital transformation consulting projects within a global professional services organization
+ Experience developing close working relationships with enterprise account sales teams and other departments
+ History of meeting targets is important. You are motivated by results
+ Understanding of customer and market dynamics: You will need to have an understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape in the industry
+ Experience dealing with all levels of the customers' organizations, negotiating win-win solutions, ensuring customers are over-satisfied with the performance
+ Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, multilingual would be an advantage
+ The position may include up to 50% travel

**Position Overview**
The Business Strategy Manager, manufacturing industry intelligence, is responsible for managing and leading research and analysis and providing insights-based guidance and advice to middle and upper management. The role comprises working autonomously, as well as leveraging cross-functional subject matter experts and external consulting providers. As a Business Strategy Manager, manufacturing industry intelligence, you will partner with stakeholders from across the Business Industry Strategy team, product management, product development, marketing, strategic partnerships, and sales. To be successful, applicants need a solid grasp of the manufacturing industry in general, and the industrial software market specifically. In addition, the ability to combine excellent analytical skills and the ability to autonomously craft and communicate compelling insights to senior management is essential. This is a role with high visibility and impact on our business and go-to-market strategies for our manufacturing business.
**Responsibilities**
+ Define, build and work with analytical models, leveraging various internal and external sources of data
+ Create compelling presentations and various other forms of communication to share insights and drive transformation and change
+ Build a strong internal network with key stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
+ Continuously further our insights into market developments, new technologies, strategic opportunities and risks in our market
+ Act as a center of excellence for industry insights
+ Deliver process improvements and ensure highest quality and robustness of output and deliverables
+ Work with a strong sense of accountability, self-motivation, attention to detail, creative problem-solving
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in an engineering, business or equivalent field experience
+ 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of CAD, CAM, digital factory
+ 3+ years of experience in industrial software or other software industry
+ Proven ability to autonomously drive projects forward within a large organization with globally distributed teams
+ Excellent and proven English language skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of SaaS business and leading-edge technology (e.g. AI)
+ MBA or comparable advanced degree
+ Experience in a strategic capacity as part of either strategy, go-to-market, product management, business development or related roles within the software or high-tech industry or in management consulting
+ Strong executive presentation skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills required in order to build success in a highly matrixed organization
+ Proven ability to lead and influence as part of a geographically dispersed global organization
+ Willingness and ability to travel internationally
