We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to help lead our EMEA-based Data Engineering squad, working on our industry-leading data management and analytics products.
This is a hands-on team leadership role where you’ll guide a capable team, champion best practices, and help deliver data products that power some of the world’s most recognisable sports brands. You’ll collaborate with other Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads, and Product Managers to solve technical challenges, define delivery scope, and enhance our global data platform.

Build & Lead Engineering Teams
- Line-manage and mentor Data Engineers, setting benchmarks for technical skill, delivery quality, and innovation.
- Guide the Data Engineering squad, promoting a culture of innovation, excellence and continuous improvement.
- Promote a strong developer experience and look for ways to continually improve it.
Drive Delivery & Technical Quality
- Ensure consistent application of our SDLC and endorse best practices in release management, process automation, and source control.
- Work with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and Lead Engineers to define technical scope, estimate work, and remove blockers.
- Lead and influence technical design, architecture, and development for data-driven solutions.
Enable Innovation & Platform Growth
- Support the integration of advanced data technologies, including AI/ML, data visualisation, and analytics capabilities.
- Encourage knowledge-sharing and experimentation with emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Contribute to improving onboarding, operational efficiency, and engineering consistency across regions.
What You’ll Bring
Essential
- Leadership experience in software or data engineering, with a track record of delivering impactful products.
- Strong knowledge of software development, SDLC, and scalable, secure platform architecture.
- Hands-on background in data engineering or related disciplines, ideally with cloud-native practices (Azure or AWS).
