Description
McBains are looking for an experienced BIM consultant / BIM technician to join our London based team.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop/Update, implement and maintain BIM Workflow, protocols, and standards within the MEP Engineering Team
- Liaise and coordinate with MEP BIM Technicians and other Discipline BIM Technicians (Architecture, Structures, Civils)
- Organise, configure, and maintain projects
- Manage Revit project production andproject contents andStandard Library objects
- Coordinate multidisciplinary models
- Setting up and managing drawings in AutoCAD.
- Ensure McBains procedures, standards and workflows are applied and communicated to the project teams
- Mentoring of core BIM design systems and McBains best practices
- Act as BIM Coordinator (MEP Engineering) for major projects
- Provide day-to-day BIM Technical support to the engineers
- Reviewing and preparing BIM Execution Plans, BIM Scope of work and contractual documents
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Qualities and Skills:
- Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
- Minimum 5 years working experience working as a CAD/Revit Technician for Building Services on medium/large scale projects in Autodesk Revit and associated technologies
- In-depth knowledge of latest version of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with experience of creating search sets, running clash detection, and producing clash reports.
- Experience in working with CAD Packages i.e., AutoCAD
- Experience in working with schematics and coordination into 3D
- Excellent organizational skills and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Able to manage sensitive and often confidential information
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibilities
Desirable Qualities and Skills:
- Knowledge of MagiCAD, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Analysis/Energy Analytics, DIALux Evo, MEPWorx, NBS Chorus, Bluebeam
- Higher education degree and/or BIM Qualifications : BRE Academy or similar

Basic Qualifications
