The responsibilities of the Quality Inspection Engineer will include:

• Coordinating the quality team, controlling inspection of all parts received from suppliers
• Upkeep and use of manual and digital inspection equipment and devices
• Investigation of all non-conforming parts, raising NCP reports and liaising directly with suppliers for corrective actions
• Compilation of reports for new products, new suppliers or parts manufactured by the tooling teams

• Has relevant experience in Engineering (Mechanical or Automotive)
• Has experience working with Mechanical / Engineering drawings
• Has experience within an inspection role with the ability and willingness to liaise with suppliers

We are currently closely working with a Cast Iron Foundry based in S18 who are looking to add a Dimensional Inspection Engineer to their team, whilst also having some involvement in Solidworks designing of components (Training can be given)

The company manufactures parts for the automotive, rail and general engineering industries.

You'll be workingmainly office based / away from shop floor, tasked with:

• Gauge design and implementation.
• Creation of measurement projects within GOM/ZEISS Inspect
• Operation of 3D structured light scanning equipment (GOM ATOS Q and ZEISS T SCAN HAWK 2).
• CMM Inspection and programming work with MCOSMOS
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
• GD&T and R&D work

You'll be working Monday-Friday 38 hoursper week, flexible working hours to an extent, depending on you needs.
