About the Armed Forces Pathway
Mott MacDonald's Armed Forces Pathway represents our commitment to recruiting, transitioning, developing, and supporting the armed forces community within our organisation. About the business unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.

Overview of the role
We are seeking experienced Civil Engineer(s) to be part of our Transport and Mobility Solutions Division. You will be accountable for developing design solutions in the local streets and infrastructure portfolio from concepts and feasibility plans to designs for planning application and construction details, using the latest digital design delivery methods. Our focus lies in the development of innovative and sustainable project solutions to drive efficiency and social values for our clients.

As an experienced Civil Engineer, you will be passionate about:

• Using and expanding your knowledge to deliver cost effective, innovative, safe, sustainable solutions that are of benefit to the community now and in the future
• Mentoring and developing the skills and capabilities of junior team members
• Complying with the requirements of the our Integrated Management System including Health & Safety, Environmental and all other appropriate regulations
• Working with a range of clients from local authorities, public and private developers to contractors
• Using digital solutions to deliver a right first time approach

Candidate specification
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Candidates should have a relevant degree qualification preferably with an additional professional qualification(s). Please note candidates with qualifications that do not fully match the above criteria but have relevant equivalent experience are invited to apply
• Be technically astute, with some experience of mentoring and developing apprentices and graduates
• Have demonstrable experience of working across multi-discipline design projects, with a strong understanding of sound engineering principles
• A confident communicator with good verbal and written skills

We require a combination of the following competencies / skills:

• Problem solving, offering solutions to challenges
• Computer literate
• Self-motivated with the drive to achieve continuous improvement targets
• Strong Health and Safety focus
