My client is a modern managed services provider delivering integrated IT and communications solutions and is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join their team.
The Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing, and managing network infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in networking technologies, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully leading network projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our organization's computer network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Evaluate and recommend network technologies and solutions to improve performance, reliability, and security.
- Work within a team of network engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to internal and external customers as needed.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other technologies and applications.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration settings, and operating procedures.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, identifying and resolving problems promptly for our Managed Service Clients.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorised access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansion projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging network technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for their adoption as appropriate.
- 5+ years of experience in implementing, and managing enterprise-level computer networks.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, SD Wan routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points from leading vendors (HP, Alcatel, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a methodical approach to resolving complex network issues.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) preferred.

Overview:
We are seeking a strong Network Engineer with active DV clearance to join a critical MOD programme. The successful candidate will be a hands-on network specialist, ideally CCNA-certified (CCNP desirable), and will work in a secure, on-site environment, delivering robust and secure network solutions to classified systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide network engineering support to the Defensive Network Services
Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
Manage routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, and NAT
Ensure secure network implementation in accordance with MOD standards (e.g., JSP 604 / 440)

This role is working directly for a telecoms service provider, and they are in a continued stage of growth. They are well funded are constantly winning new contracts with both the private and public sector.
These are an exciting company with 250+ headcount and offices all over the world. They work across both public and private sectors, supplying connectivity, communication and IT solutions to a range of organisations within the maritime, defence and commercial sectors.
Due to growth, we need to increase the headcount within the network engineering team. Chances are, you will have worked in a similar environment in a customer facing networking role. Maybe you’ve been hands on for a number of years and bored of the same mundane day to day routine and want to work in a company that values its employees, is on the forefront of technology, and also work with some very interesting clients.
This role has a blend of internal work as well as being customer facing, meaning you’ll have to have strong customer support skills and ability to interact with customers day to day. You’ll be working alongside another network engineer, dealing with any escalations that the 1st line NOC engineers can’t resolve themselves.
Your background:
We’re looking for a CCNP level network engineer. Likewise, with this being a secure environment, with secure networks, you’ll need to be strong on the security side of things, again ideally with Fortinet technologies (FCSS/FCP level). As well as this, we’re after someone who has been hands on with automation technologies.
This is an all round networking role with elements of designing, building, testing, commissioning and supporting of both secure internal and external networks.
The office is based in Redhill, so you’ll have to live in a commutable distance from there.

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile network engineer to join our Amentum International team. The role holder will possess expertise in hybrid environments (on-prem, Azure, SASE).
