The Network & Acquirer Solutions team is modernizing our payments network with products like Debit, QR, Tokenization and Account to Account payments, enabling expansion into new markets, customer acquisition, and regulatory compliance.
**How will you make an impact in this role?**
As a Business Architecture Senior Manager for Network and Acquirer Solutions you will define the future business capabilities of the Payments Network in GMNS. You'll work with business partners to understand strategic goals, analyse the associated business capabilities and determine opportunities for re-use or transformation. You'll solve complex problems, assess alternative solutions, and design innovative deliverables that align with strategic goals. You'll also build relationships across teams, influence stakeholders, and present insights to senior leadership.

The Network & Acquirer Solutions team (NAS) is unique within the Enterprise. We work across almost every American Express business unit as well as external partners, providers, and key industry stakeholders. We are known to be intellectually curious problem solvers as we tackle the most imperative initiatives facing the payments industry today.
The Enterprise Payments team within NAS works to deliver scalable, robust, and innovative payment and verification solutions. These solutions support Paying with your Bank, managing supplier and buyer-initiated payments, supporting merchant and banking payments, and even Paying Amex or Amex paying our merchants / bank partners.

+ Define and drive standards for capability and process modelling and support Envisioning team with heat mapping.
+ Conduct impact assessments and provide consultancy on EP ecosystems, capabilities, and industry best practices.
+ Develop and maintain capability models (L0-L3), value streams, and business blueprints that align to strategic goals.
+ Maintain and contribute to the overall capability maturity strategy.
+ Lead and develop at least one BA analyst.
+ Present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior leadership
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
+ Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to translate business needs into technical and operational requirements.
+ Proven experience in business architecture, business process modelling (L1-L3), and transformation initiatives.
+ Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
+ Track record of influencing and driving results in a global environment.
+ Strong collaboration, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Experience in managing and developing team members, ideally within business analysis or architecture function.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Deep understanding of the payments industry (domestic rails, cross-border, merchant settlement, open banking, direct debit).
+ Experience applying industry frameworks (e.g., BIZBOK®, BIAN, APQC, ISO 20022).
