• Keep the purchase ledger accurate and up to date.
li>Process invoices, payments and reconciliations with precision.
• Build strong supplier relationships, negotiating the best value on cost, quality and delivery.
• Manage purchase orders and monitor stock to keep operations running smoothly.

What we’re looking for:

< i>Experience in purchase ledger, buying, or a similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills.
• AAT would be an advantage, but not essential as experience in a similar role is expected.

• Develop and execute a compelling merchandising and buying strategy aligned with brand identity and commercial objectives.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify product opportunities and inform buying decisions.
• Manage the end-to-end buying process, from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to placing orders and ensuring timely delivery.
• Optimize product assortment across all channels, ensuring a balanced and profitable mix.
• Develop and manage inventory levels to maximize sales and minimize stockouts and markdowns.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, e-commerce, and store operations teams to ensure cohesive product launches and promotional activities.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, margin, stock turn, and markdown, and take proactive steps to improve performance.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring ethical sourcing practices.
• Lead and mentor a team of buyers and merchandisers, fostering a data-driven and results-oriented culture.
• Stay abreast of the latest retail trends, fashion, and product innovations.
• Contribute to the overall business strategy and financial planning.

• Proven experience (6+ years) in merchandising and buying, preferably within the retail sector.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective buying and merchandising strategies that have driven sales growth and profitability.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing inventory and optimizing stock levels.
• Proficiency in merchandising and inventory management systems.
• A keen eye for product and a strong understanding of consumer trends.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or a related field.
