Requirements:
- Experience with Cable system design, including Installation Planning, Routing configurations, Trenching techniques (both traditional and trenchless), Bonding, phasing, Pulling Calculations, as well as termination and jointing layouts
- Experience with Concept and FEED for Transmission and Distribution networks
- Practical experience using CYMCAP software for cable sizing calculations aligned with international guidelines
- Competent in utilizing design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)

Due to continued growth, we are open to speaking with experienced HV Cable Design Engineers for future opportunities.
We are open to exploring future opportunities in line with our growth across ideally Principal/Senior Engineer levels in our Energy Team. This team presents an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects, across various technical disciplines with clients across country. These projects can include HVDC, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, connections schemes etc.

You will be a pro-active individual with knowledge and understanding of the electricity transmission and distribution industry. You will have the capability to coach and work within the wider energy team.
Ideally you will have a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), from an accredited institution and professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and ICE is preferred. You will also have experience as civil substation engineer, with a wider awareness of other typical HV civil engineering projects.
Ideally you will also have the following:-
+ You will have experience in the Design (Concept, FEED, and detail design) of transmission & distribution systems - for Utility companies based on International standards.
+ Ability to carry out inter- disciplinary coordination and work effectively with leads to resolve any design issues.
+ Application of broad practical knowledge to cable design & produces - Cable installation design including cable routing layouts, trench & trenchless section layouts, cable bonding & phasing, cable pulling, termination and jointing arrangements.

Due to continued growth, we are open to speaking with experienced HV Cable Design Engineers for future opportunities.
We are open to exploring future opportunities in line with our growth across ideally Principal/Senior Engineer levels in our Energy Team. This team presents an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects, across various technical disciplines with clients across country. These projects can include HVDC, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, connections schemes etc.
The role is to work as part of the Cable team on electrical substation design, major renewables, HVDC interconnectors, offshore grids, FEED design etc. You will be working closely with our other disciplines and supporting/leading. Ideally you will have experience in working with key T&D clients in the UK.
You will be joining a growing and collaborative team, working in partnership with a variety of clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. **About You**
You will be a pro-active individual with knowledge and understanding of the electricity transmission and distribution industry. You will have the capability to coach and work within the wider energy team.
Ideally you will have a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), from an accredited institution and professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and ICE is preferred. You will also have experience as civil substation engineer, with a wider awareness of other typical HV civil engineering projects.
Ideally you will also have the following:-
+ You will have experience in the Design (Concept, FEED, and detail design) of transmission & distribution systems - for Utility companies based on International standards.

Are you an experienced Network Design Engineer looking for a hands-on role in a highly secure, fast-paced environment? Our client are expanding their expert team and seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer to contribute to exciting new project delivery work within the defence and national security sector.
This is not a support role – youll be directly involved in designing, configuring, and delivering secure networks for new business and contracted projects.
What Youll Be Doing:
• Collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver network solutions for secure environments.
• Developing, updating, and maintaining High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Hands-on configuration of network equipment and security devices.
• Implementing small-to-medium LLD updates (e.g., firewall/switch changes).
• Engaging with stakeholders to understand technical requirements and align designs accordingly.
• Supporting the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to operational handover.
What Were Looking For:
• 5+ years experience in network engineering or support with strong design and delivery exposure.
• Solid experience with Juniper/Cisco technologies
• Understanding of network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Comfortable with a multi-vendor environment – adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency with network design tools (e.g., Visio) and documentation standards.
• Good grasp of virtualisation and infrastructure – experience with physical and virtual environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Eligible for SC clearance (must obtain DV during probation – support will be provided).
Desirable Skills:
• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent.
• Experience with:
o F5, Cisco Secure Firewall, Gigamon
o Network monitoring tools: SolarWinds, Nagios
o Routing protocols, VLANs, VRFs, and security zones
o Performance and capacity testing of cyber tools
• Familiarity with virtualisation platforms: VMware, KVM, Xen, Proxmox, etc.
