Salary: 35,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to join our growing team in Warrington. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of Cat6 copper networks across commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a structured cabling systems.
Termination, testing, and labelling of copper data cabling.
Installation of containment systems (trunking, conduit, tray, basket).
Patch panel and cabinet installation.
Fault-finding and troubleshooting network cabling issues.
Working to health & safety standards and ensuring compliance at all times.
Liaising with project managers and site supervisors to deliver work to deadlines.
Requirements
Proven experience in data cabling installation (Cat6 essential).
Strong knowledge of copper cabling standards and testing procedures.
Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
CSCS/ECS card preferred.
IPAF/PASMA certification (advantageous).
Full UK driving licence desirable.

We have a number of cabling engineering positions available, ranging from Junior through to Senior Level Roles. The Salaries depending on your level of experience will range between £2 085 and 4,261 + an additional ,000 per year on average, for travel time. On top of this there is an additional option for overtime.

You will be working within a multidisciplinary operations team with a range of clients across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised individual to provide Network Installation services to a range of new and existing customers who operate across a range of vertical markets.
You are required to work on your initiative, unsupervised, and to tight deadlines, both individually and as part of a team. You will need to display an ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff and customers.
Responsibilities Cabling Engineers

Structured Cabling related installations - Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, telephony and fibre optics.

Assume a lead role if required on multi-personnel installations.

Preparation and understanding of site-specific Risk Assessments, on occasion as required.

Completion of all project-related engineer’s documentation, on occasion as required.

Be the point of contact and liaison with customers during installation when assuming a lead role.
Essential skills to be considered as the junior cabling engineer:

Be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of structured network cabling and installation

Flexibility of working hours and traveling are key requirements of this role.

Full and valid UK driving license.
