In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed CAD designs that are both functional and manufacturable, taking into account materials, thicknesses, strengths, and mechanical tolerances.
You will work closely with engineers and production teams, participate in regular in-office design meetings, and provide technical input throughout the build process to ensure design integrity. The position is primarily based near Spalding with occasional travel for project needs and the option of hybrid working 1 or 2 days a week available.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in machinery design, and possess strong CAD skills alongside a deep understanding of materials and engineering principles.

Working week is Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs a week.
As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be:
- Provide 3D modelling, CAD and Engineering Design skills and knowledge to the Project Engineering team. li>Involvement in continuous improvement projects across the site
- Develop concepts into detailed designs on a broad range of manufacturing equipment.
- Upkeep of the site drawing database
- Supporting engineering projects through application of robust design methodologies to ensure achievement of project targets of time, cost, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Site Layouts – Develop site-specific layouts for existing or new infrastructure using SolidWorks.
- Technical Drawing/Drafting – Producing 2D CAD (and possibly 3D CAD) drawings in DWG format for steam and condensate routing, electrical power and control systems, civil works and other areas
