As CAD Designer you will be using Inventor and Fusion360, although SolidWorks experience is transferable, to design and develop 3D models and technical drawings, but it is not just about the software, as a CAD Designer you will take a concept from a sketch on paper through to something that works in the real world. Sheet metal, machining, fabrication, you will understand the process from start to finish, how components fit together, and how the design will function once built.

As the 2D cad designer you will be responsible for producing high quality technical drawings and layout plans for ventilation and smoke control systems, all in accordance with current building regulations, project specification and industry standards.
As the successful 2D cad designer your role will consist of.
- Produce 2CAD drawings for smoke control and mechanical ventilation
- Develop layout plans, schematics and fabrication drawings for design submissions, client reviews and site installations.
