What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key member of the in-house engineering team, you’ll support the end-to-end design process of low-carbon infrastructure projects — from early-stage concepts to detailed, construction-ready plans.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil and site layouts
- Supporting planning applications with accurate, high-quality CAD visuals
- Creating drainage layouts, access roads, vehicle tracking and site flow designs
- Collaborating with engineers, planners, and commercial teams
- Updating and maintaining CAD libraries and drawing standards
- Assisting across RIBA Stages 1–4 to bring innovative hub designs to life
What You’ll Need:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D, Revit or similar tools a plus)
- Experience in civil/site layout drawings, drainage, and utilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings
- A collaborative mindset with great communication skills
- Interest in sustainability, transport, or clean infrastructure projects
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, CAD Design or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Working closely with designers and estimators, you will ensure every drawing is presented with precision and reflects the requirements of each project — from mechanical and electrical systems to sprinklers and fire protection layouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical, electrical, and sprinkler installations
- Translate design calculations and layouts into detailed technical drawings for pre-construction and bid packages
- Coordinate services with architectural and structural constraints to ensure buildable solutions
- Maintain drawing standards, ensuring consistency, precision, and professional presentation
- Manage drawing revisions, including version control, file naming, and record-keeping
- Support estimators by providing drawing outputs that aid in quantity take-offs and accurate costing
- Assist with the preparation of professional bid packages and technical submissions
