Our EFT team is a group of c.50 specialists who have successfully advised on some of the largest equity capital market and cross-border M&A deals in recent years. EFT comprises a number of capabilities and propositions that support senior client stakeholders through complex equity capital market and end-to-end M&A processes, including:
- Transaction readiness assist services to support companies in preparation for a capital markets transaction;
- M&A finance assist services, providing hands on support for finance functions in preparing for, managing, dealing with and resolving significant demands associated with the M&A process through strong technical knowledge;
- Transaction Management Office (“TMO") assist services working alongside senior client stakeholders and other deal advisers to manage large and complex transactions from inception through to delivery;
- Complex financials assist services on carve out or combination transactions, providing end-to-end financials preparation, validation, and process support, and;
- Controls and governance equity capital market attest and assurance services for companies engaging in public company transactions (e.g. acquisitions, disposals, mergers) and IPOs.
Within EFT, you will primarily focus on working with clients on domestic and international transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs, mergers, and demergers. You will have the opportunity to experience working across the array of propositions offered by EFT and develop in a particular offering as you progress within the team.
On EFT transactions, as well as working closely with management teams, we also work alongside other advisers including investment banks, lawyers and PR advisers and the capital markets regulator (the FCA), providing members of the EFT team excellent exposure to the wider transaction and adviser network.
This role involves significant exposure to and interaction with senior client stakeholders, so a desire to work in a client engagement environment is essential. Your responsibilities will vary per project and are unique to each transaction, however the key skills below give some insight into what the role will entail.
