We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Car Systems Design engineer. In this role you will be responsible for completing design of engine systems, fuel system, gearbox cooling system and integration of these into the whole car package. For the specific components assigned, you will be responsible for contributing to concept through detailed design, supporting documentation and problem resolution.
Mechanical Design
Working under guidance of team leader support design work with concept and aerodynamic departments to maximise car systems impact on overall car performance.
To endeavour that all design work is fit for purpose and take ownership for the quality of parts designed.
To complete detailed design of car systems components and installations assigned on target according to planned deadlines
To clearly communicate with members of the group in a timely manner and support everyone meeting their targets.
To maintain and develop good relationships with other departments.
To contribute to car performance with ideas for improvement and highlight any potential issues seen.
To keep up-to-date with all latest technical developments which can be applied.
Ensure designs are released on target and to agreed specification.

- Extensive Automotive design experience, ideally related experience in F1.
- Knowledge of metallic material uses and treatments.
- Basic understanding of composite materials and their production.
- Experienced user of tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
- Ability to scope new tasks thoroughly.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely.
